My character is written very well in Beintehaa - Harshad Arora
Already popular in his debut TV show, Harshad Arora has got an amazing start in his career. Girl's new dream man on television is indeed handsome, humble and has a great sense of humor. He is hopeful of playing a long innings in this industry and good luck to him. Though it took a while for JS to take his interview due to his long busy shooting hours, it finally was worth the wait.
You have done modelling for 3 years and worked in a PR company.What makes you choose acting as a career?
It was just a random decision and very instinctive call. I was getting call while I was in Delhi so I decided to shift my base to Mumbai and flew one day. Within 8 or 9 months I got the show.
Beintehaa is your first show. What preparations did you do to enter into the skin of character?
I am lucky that my character is written very well in Beintehaa. I did watch some Pakistan shows that helps a lot to improve Urdu language. Script writer wrote my character very well. Director and producer brought up the character so well that audience could connect to it. I believe them and I am happy that came out nice.
Share your experience on the first day of Beintehaa set. Which scene did you shoot on the first day?
I was in Lavasa on the first day. It was really good. Lavasa is a beautiful place. My first scene shot was my entry sequence. Chopper scene then coming out of water scene was shot. I was little nervous and excited. Over all it was a good day and I loved it.
Your chemistry with Preetika Rao is very well appreciated on screen. When can fans expect romance blooming in the show?
Very soon I think. We are starting off our new period. Right now it's a subconscious feeling that we have for each other and we don't want to acknowledge. I think it's beginning of it. Very soon you will see. Things are progressing. As the show progresses, the character, the chemistry and equation will also progress. That's the reason they are giving lot of twists and turns in the show right now because audience love it.
What is your dream role?
My dream role would be a role which is not me, something different from my personality and equally challenging, and something which is exactly opposite to my personality.
Who is more mischievous, Harshad or Zain?
Both of them actually and I think it reflects in the character.
What is your favorite pastime?
Nowadays I don't get time to pass. After the shoot I pack up, go home and sleep. Lately, I am getting only 4 hours to sleep. If I don't have shooting I like to eat a lot, travel and go out with friends. I like to watch movies.
From black and white era to coloured era there are many beauties who have ruled onscreen so if you get a chance to go on a date with one, who will she be?
Marilyn Monroe, Katelyn Smith, Charlize Theron and Chitrangada Singh.
Share something about your family.
I was born and brought up in Delhi. I did my schooling and post-graduation in Delhi and worked there as well. I just came to Mumbai one and half months back. In Delhi I lived with mom, dad, sister and grandparents.
