Yes definitely its surprising to see the extent to which Suraiyyah goes to trouble Shabana,, like she dervies some sort of pleasure from it...but i believe the show in its initial phases, only a month or two old..even then they are hinting on the bitterness..its something that is yet to unfold..n we have hints ...we are guessing...its supposed to be a 300+ show. I think it would be better to focus on the leads n let the other characters grow gradually on the audience.

Besides we are yet to discover a lot of things for eg why would a lady like Nafeesa bear with a cheating husband, tolerate a second wife n bear the not giving birth to son tag ...

I think its not something lacking but rather an interesting aspect of the show. Lacking is a negative term, dont you think :)

I think that a 300+ episode drama doesn't mean that you divide the expected # episodes by the number of characters and focus on only certain ones. The puzzle has to fit together to create a picture. Needless to say, Suraiya is 1 of the bigger pieces here.

As for "lacking" being a negative term for you, it is all about our perspectives. Maybe you look at it is me saying " Glass is half empty".But I used the word " ONLY" place where BI is lacking because I look at it as glass is already half full and just needs to be filled to the rim 😊

Exactly my thoughts. The actress playing her is really good and has acted in Bollywood movies too so if she took up the character , she must have seen some sense and substance in he role. It is time to bring that substance to the forefront because if they delay it too much, people will lose interest.

Well, that could definitely be overlooked since all the dramas possess and witness their weaknesses.

I feel like Zain, being the only one against Aliyah would have not helped, Someone else was needed and why not his mom.

Yes she is the old cliche type but yet if you think about there is that person everywhere, in every family.

This drama is going well, hopefully it remains its consistency

N I always wonder that if she is scared of her reputation in the society then how can she end up doing such embarrassing things which might detour irate their status in the society ... Is her hatred more important to her reputation ..n might be that's the only reason she htes Aliya then how Come she does the same thing which she doesn't want to happen ...!!!

I somewhat agree with u..Suraiya is a hell Confusing Character...But i have a strong feeling that there is some messy past which has made her like this..Smthng related to Bhopal...Suraiya is a grey character for sure but sometimes that grey shade converts into black...Lolz
Anyways i m.quite excited to see why she behaved likes this..I doubt if she really cares for her Status..Otherwise why wud she do such cheap drama..!!

i get it tat she is right in her own way.. bec at the end of the day zain was forced to marry aliya...
n she actively interfered only after he confided in ger about how he burnt the tshirt she wore...

bec shazia is also from middle class and if u observe.. she prefers nafisa over her.. but doesnt make any attempt or plans to get her out of fahad's life..
she has accepted her...

but wat i dont get is... isnt it effecting usman sahab's reputation tooo???
how can she be ok with everything going out in the public this way

Umm.. If the types and extents of her atrocities on Aaliya match with those of illiterate MIL's on other daily soaps then it is a waste of the actresses potential. She has done many plays and some Bollywood films too.

Yeah, every family has a black sheep and someone like Suraiya, but as far as I know, they have a past or a certain upbringing that has made them bitter. You find those people more interesting when you find out why they are bitter whereas if you don't know their background, you tend to dislike them and avoid them. Same goes for this character which is a part of peoples screens 5 days a week. If baseless negativity is stretched for too long, some people don't like it andit becomes difficult to overlook it and focus on ZaYA who can't be on the screen forever.

Yes,ofcourse Suraiya is needed. I'm a proud Humsafar fan lol. Never said she is not needed.

Yup. It's going quite strong. I would give it a 8.5/10. Didn't say BI isn't going well or else I wouldn't be on this forum lol. 😆

Remember how in QH they showed an overdose of negativity with Razia and then a point came when people even had to complain to the channel and then nobody cared anymore about the story. They only watched for the couple even if they did. I just don't want that happening to BI. And BI has NOT show THAT level of negativity but I am just giving an example. I want the story to be strong too besides the ZaYA brilliance 😊
