The only way a talaq works, is when a husband repeats the 3 words to the wife.
The wife can not give talaq to husband, rather she has the option if hula, that works if the wife wants a divorce on a solid basis.
That being said, just wanted to say here that talaq is one of the most hated act in islam. ALLAH hates even the mention of the word. Creatives and writers should clarify that.
Usman sahib will not divorce Suraiya, he probably has clicked on that she has put that idea into Zain's mind and is probably threatening her. Oh come on, Zain's deeni taleem is probably the size of a wheat grain.
