Beintehaa - First 25 episodes.
My take of Pros & Cons
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I haven't watched a Hindi show from the start for 2 years now I think. I took a well deserved break from them to get back some sanity. 😆😆😆 But finally a show has captured my interest which made me watch all 25 episodes on a single sitting without any breaks. I even brought my food to the laptop to eat. Khair, am hoping to make new friends here. But coming back to my topic here, I would like to share my point of views.
I always like to start with the Cons, because we get worked up when we read negatives. If we ended with the positives, then our mood is happy thinking about them.
Cons - These are minor things that the show needs to improve on gradually.
1. Blooper scenes. I would like to mention 2-3 bloopers. Zain staying at Bhopal and not once Alia gets to know that he is not Zeeshan. I mean she is close to her sisters and cousins, wouldn't they be talking about him as Zain bhai to her when they are discussing about events of that day? Even the whole peeping at him while eating scene, it's pretty impossible not to hear' his name being used. Another blooper is something I had already seen someone posted here on IF. About how no one seemed to notice the attraction between the couple. Only the villains had to see it? They were not even innocent interludes for the eyes. But I was glad at least Aayat noticed and mentioned about there being a connection between them. There were many others to be considered, but I think Creative heads need to reduce the blooper effect as much as they can.
2. Dubbing. Some scenes dubbing has been really bad, especially outdoor scenes. The team needs to work on making them better. The dubbing brings out artificiality to the scene and loses the original charm of the scene. Voices play a very important role, especially with such lovely voices from the leads.
3. Flashbacks. There are a lot of flashbacks in an episode. 2-3 scene flashback is fine. But there are an awful lot of repetitive FBs shown. Every character does. If they are doing it because the show is new and people who are only starting to watch needs to know, then I guess that is fine. But they should tone it down a little so that the story can move ahead. It feels like dragging when it's excessive.
Pros - All that's good about the show
1. Actors. Amazing cast for the show. Every character till now hasn't shown any major errors in terms of acting. I especially love that all their English pronunciations are so good. It's impressive that they speak all 3 languages Hindi, Urdu & English mixed up so well. I am looking forward to great performances from all of them.
2. Script & Screenplay. No old fashioned dialogues. Quite modern how today's generation people speak. Practical lines as well with no over dramatization.
3. Direction & Cinematography. Some scenes are shot so beautifully, like the angles, lightings, zoom in & out, locations. Such a treat to the eyes watching them. I am hoping a lot that this continues for as long as the show exists.
4. Music. This should have been my first Pro, but I am not following order. I personally started watching the show because of the title song and the background score. It's something I would sing along, hum along, and which makes me smile simply listening to it. And thanks to this music, I got to watch a nice romantic show after a long break from Hindi TV.
5. Humor & Comedy. I absolutely adore comedy scenes in this show. They should keep it up. It has the right amount of humor required for a scene and does not make one think "They added the scene just for comedy sake". I dislike jokes made just to add lightness to a scene which does not really fit in with the atmosphere.
Other comments
To Preetika - I think she has been doing so very well considering it's her debut in TV. I have seen her south movie, and I always thought it was Amrita in that movie until recently when I found out otherwise. With more episodes coming I am sure she is going to be giving a lot of memorable performances. I wish her all the best for the same. One thing I would like her to improve on would be her Dialogue delivery. Some scenes are perfect, especially when she confronts Zain in her room after the wedding breaks (which happens to be my Fav scene by Preetika). But some are very slow paced. She has to provide the right tempo & speed with which she speaks the dialogue in some scenes.
To Harshad - Great Debut. Does not feel like a new comer. He has an amazing voice. Initially he looked a lot over confident on the show but it has changed now. Considering his scene on the first episode to now, I think he has so much to give us with his performance. I also especially liked how handsome he looks when he is sleeping on the show. I think a little more emotions from his eyes would be perfect. Sometimes the eyes have to do all the speaking. My fav scene from him is when he carries the bride to the room. His expression was at his best.
Otherwise the show has everything that a typical Hindi show has. The ladies ornamented with such heavy jewellery, which does not happen in practical real life. People don't wear so much when they are in the house. Then are the extravaganza interiors for the rooms in the house. Thankfully clothes have not been major problem as of now. Some of them are even classy. But people don't always wear expensive clothes all the time.
The 3 kids on the show are adorable, especially the boy. Am looking forward to their contribution to Zain & Alia's relationship.
I just wanted to share what I felt when I saw all 25 episodes in a single sitting. These are my personal view points. I do not mean to offend anyone by them. I more than anyone want this show to work out very well hoping that it does not become a typical over rated romance or saas bahu show. I want there to all types of drama which are practical in life, or as much practical as they can make it.
I would not mind if anyone would like to share their views. May be I might have a different perspective seeing it from someone else's POV. Thank you for taking time to read this very boring post.😆
