Honestly, I was bewildered and shocked when I first read the spoiler.. " Where is this story heading?" was my first thought.. But after watching all the episodes this week, I feel all this tamasha is very much necessary in the story for all the reasons you mentioned.. Plus we need our tigress to roar back and this can only happen when the hatred is ignited in her... What better way to do that than to have a public humiliation for no mistake of hers..
