Ok..coming to the topic.
I am sure all of us had one question in our minds. With Aliya, the reason for her hatred towards Zain was clear the moment the Ahmads started all the tamasha. But why Zain? Just the fact that he was getting married against his will was too tame a reason in front of Aliya's!
And then came the Big Thappad. And I was confident, that THIS is the reason. Usman is Zain's hero. Especially during his conversation with Usman at the end of day before yesterday's episode had me convinced that it was the fact that Aliya complained about him to Usman, which led to his darling slapping him that would make him hate her. That was acceptable. And yet, compared to Aliya's reason, it still seemed a little lame. But anyhow, I accepted it & was waiting eagerly for their nikaah.
But I was so wrong! I realised that the minute ZaYa came face to face with each other in the angaan. There was no anger on Zain's face. In fact, both of them had this awkward expression on their face. And when Zain said that he wasn't the kind to get married, I realised ki bhai, he toh still doesn't hate Aliya. At that moment he still felt the same.annoyance with her that he had before. His major reason to avoid the wedding apart from this fact, was that he didn't believe in marriage. I can say that I was seriously taken aback. For the first time that I had seen a male lead getting slapped because of the heroine & it not hitting his ego, & transferring to hatred for the female. And when he said "Sorry", tab toh I was all 😲 Of course, later in the future, when the nikaah happens, this incident might fuel his hatred further, but it is NOT the reason for it. Perhaps because he DOES realise it was his mistake. Zain really did stand tall as a guy in this whole issue.
It was ZaYa's convo which laid the foundations of Zain's nafrat in this marriage. When in the end, Zain was called in, he literally sauntered into the room without a smile on his face. And when Ghulam saab started congratulating them, he turned towards her with this utterly betrayed expression on his face. And that's when I realised...
She broke her vaada...
Honestly, even after having seen the precap I hadn't realised that the slap wasn't the core reason. It wasn't ego, but betrayal which made him hate her. And that makes it all the more better. His expression when he looked at her was the same numb expression as when Usman slapped him. His emotions have come into play. Not because he's in love with her, because he isn't yet, but because he did trust her with his future life, & she broke her promise. And THAT...makes it all the more personal. He gave his life in her hands & she promised to make things right. Their dislike is of no consequence here because she made a promise & then broke it. And so fellow BI-ians, we have our ZaYa ke nafrat ki kahaani.
PS...I do personally relate to Aliya's decision. The whole everything coming second to her father.
