So we finally had an introduction to the back-story of the characters & the difference between the Abdullah's and Haider's. What I loved so far was the distinction between Bhopal and Mumbai, the rich Mumbai and yet the buzzling city of Bhopal. I did think the misunderstanding of Aaliya thinking Zain as Zeeshan was a bit off as her family members didn't even introduce her to "Zain" - but I'm going to let that slide as the story is only setting up for the future.

My favourite scene has to be when Zain fulfills all of his father's wishes by exploring Bhopal & when he says "his father's wishes becomes his stubbornness" & on the other hand Aaliya mentions how it's her care for them - the writer has foreshadowed why Aaliya and Zain agree to the wedding in the first place: their parents. Also, can I give a special mention to the 'wudu' scene? I'm SO glad they decided to show Aaliya doing wudu (cleaning of body without actually showering/bathing) before doing namaz, and the extra detail with Aaliya washing her hands in the 'proper' way. It's this little detail that adds to the authenticity of the show. Coming back to this scene, I'm glad Zain mentioned that he doesn't really know how to do namaz (or something like that) and hence stayed outside, it would be out of character if he did, and yet that opposing view of Aaliya running to do namaz which is exactly what Osman wanted. A clear distinction between Aaliya and Zain and yet they have one thing is common, their love for parents and more specifically Osman.

There were some parts that I found sort of cringing, such as Zain's entry in the plane which was... weird, if I must say. Also, I really dislike Shazia - I wonder how Zain's mum (what's her name?) chose Shazia for Fahad when she clearly likes Nafeesa more?

So questions!

What was your favourite scene? & what parts did you not like?

:]

great post 👍🏼
i felt it was good start .. it felt fresh and not too cliched ,, Zain entry sequence was little OTT .. but it did reveal tht Zain doesnt want to be married .. and Aliya even if she has her own ideas wd do anything for her uncle and parents ..
it was odd tht Aliya's mom assumed tht she knew Zain and didnt introduce them ..

i guess reason for shazia in the house is tht she bore a male child , as it was evident nafeesa bore 2 girls .. i guess suraiya expected her son to divorce her after the kid , but the son fell in love with her

now tht the MU will be soon cleared ( acc. to spoilers) i'm looking forward to the epis 😊

I agree with you on Zain's entrance. It completely over the top.
I preferred it when Zain walked into Sudar Mel, it seemed so normal yet it has such an impact on all of us viewers.

And I agree with you on Shazia, there was one scene where she telling Suraiya (Zain's mum) guys like Zain go to wedding and end up being new additions to the family. (In other words she was trying to say Aliya's family will trap him into marrying someone in their family.)
When she was saying that it made me wonder, what kind of woman would agree to someone else wife when he's already married and has 2 kids with his first wife. She also seem greedy aiming to get her sister married into the Abdullah family, so she run the family. I mean, What the hell is she thinking?

And there's something not right Suraiya (Zain's Mum) and her relationship with her husband seem a little odd to me. I can't quite put my finger on it. And she is definitely not going to like Aliya as her daughter-in-law.

Just my thoughts 😊
