Lakhan, entirely monochromatic ????

Negatives:

Lakhan Thakur, a person with a galaxy-sized ego, super arrogance, extreme stubbornness, uncontrollable anger, impulsiveness, a "no compromise" attitude and a malfunctioning brain in which all the grey cells are permanently damaged beyond repair (at least that is what the impression is at the moment). These traits sometimes compel him go till any extreme. He can even insult his elders in case his ego gets hurt somehow.

He has got absolutely no respect for women. He can snatch earrings from some random

lady's ears without fluttering an eyelid; he can remorselessly beat a woman black-and-blue !! And this is the precise reason why he considers his would-be wife Poonam as his private property and has the misconception that he is allowed to do anything with her. He claims that he loves her, yet he always accuses her to be the sole reason behind all his insults by others and tortures her accordingly to vent out his frustrations. And Poonam, enduring all his sadistic tortures silently without any bit of protest (until very recently), has actually encouraged him to continue with his unacceptable deeds for years.

After Poonam's very recent protests, which has badly hurt Lakhan's over-inflated ego, he ordered her to stop her studies - "thhik kahte hain log, ladkiyon ko padhana nehin chaahiye". Poonam ignoring his orders has resulted him to get physically violent with her as well; which seems to be the last nail in the coffin.

Positives:

Lakhan is hard-working, courageous, confident, perseverant, and an enormously powerful guy (w.r.t. physical strength).

He is absolutely okay w.r.t. Poonam pursuing higher education and has got no qualms with himself having lesser degree than his would-be wife.

He understands his mistakes when one (read Priyom) explains properly and tries to rectify the same.

Till now, he has been very open-minded regarding the friendship between his cousin and his would-be-wife. He trusts them blindly, never ever suspecting them.

Lakhan secretly aspires for the throne of Begusarai, which is beyond his reach due to his above listed negative traits. And by the virtue of the same traits, he may well become the easiest target for manipulations in the hands of outsiders (Bindiya, Chuniya Yadav etc.) as well as insiders (Rekha, Mithilesh).

Regarding the so called triangle, there is NONE as off now; since Lakhan simply does NOT love Poonam, but considers her as his slave and behaves accordingly; on the other hand, Poonam right now literally disgusts him.

Yes, I am yet to put Poonam under scanner. I am in the middle of doing the same. May be tonight or tomorrow, I'd be able to publish the same. I was real busy throughout the day today 😊.

Hello fellas..since it is going to be a boring weekend with nothing to do and on the special request of Chandrima02...I am back with my analysis of the three leads ~ Priyom, Poonam and Lakhan and evolution as characters. This is just individual characters, not pairs...however I have no problem, if you guys want to discuss about them.

Lakhan 'bailbuddhi' Thakur ~ Well from the very beginning, this guy carried an air of mystery about him, is he bad or good or somewhere in between, and he still is managing to confuse the lot of us...well even if he is bad, we as hopeless fans want him to be redeemed somehow...well that seems to be a distant dream as of now.

The most inexpressive, internally brooding, angry Thakur no: 2 had won our hearts. But then gradually with every passing episode, we learnt a lot more about him. He is mean, with no regret for what he does.

He is egoistic and when mixed with anger he becomes explosive. His grey matter is somewhat displaced, being very vulnerable to external manipulation and being used as a pawn. And also is the definition of a chauvinist.

He is said to love his fiancee, but his acts display quite the opposite. He insults her, causes problems for her, abuses her, accuses her. He feels an ownership over her, and treats her that way. All evident of anything but love.

However, in my opinion, it is not possible that he is just one-shaded, of being angry, inexpressive and egoistic. He has engaged in some good things as well partly due to the positive influence of his brother cum bestie, Priyom. And I hope it remains that way.

Many viewers and the character's family members consider him useless, because he can never achieve anything because of his anger and ego. Somehow, I feel that there is a lot about him which has not been shown yet. His dynamics with his parents, his extended family.

Why is he always so angry?, why he is so distant from his family?, why is it that he is close with only two people ~ Priyom and Poonam?. Why is he abusive with Poonam?, with no such abusive or tormenting past, to be like that.

Even an abusive character like Viraj Dobriyal, in Suabhagyavati Bhava? had an abusive father and a mute mother, which turned him into that psycho character. Why is not there any reason shown for Lakhan's behavior?

He does not even have the brains to be evil and manipulative and do wicked stuff. Creatives, if you are interested in turning him in to a villain, please make it a bit more logical, as I don't see anything that might have happened to turn him like that. Rest of his cousins aren't, so why him?

Priyom 'kanhaiya' Thakur ~ The prince charming of Begusarai, a flirt with commitment issues, a decent hearted person who does not believe in violence. The show began with introducing him in another woman's bed. I could not believe that Begusarai is that advanced with women agreeing to sleep with their boyfriends.

Anyway, with his track record of 70+ gfs, their is only one girl, whom he would never hurt or use any of his flirtatious advances on is Poonam. She is his childhood friend, about whom he is very protective, and cares a lot about.

I do not understand, with so many women in his family like Badi Amma, Maya bhabhi, Guddi, Choti dadi, Poonam, whom he loves so much, why does he engage in such reckless acts with other women. Does he even realize, it can cause so many problems for him in the future, if he ever pairs up with another women or Poonam.

I cannot tolerate such double standards, where you claim that you respect women a lot, and sleep around with other women. And then say that I had warned in the beginning, that I am not a marriage person.

You moron, when a girl is willing to sleep with you, that too in a town like Begusarai, it means that she wants to get committed with you.

Well, he also has some set of good values with no ego or anger issues, like his older brothers. he leads a life of a generous prince, and loves to be bindass and mastmaula.

But, in crucial situations, he does come up with solutions to solve the problems of his dear ones. Well, he is definitely evolving and the creatives are very much focused on him, as he will in future be the King of Begusarai.

Poonam 'maunvrat' Kumari ~ Well the creatives have also given some attention to Poonam devi who has shifted from mute mode to sound mode.

She is the agyakari beti of Indian soaps, being all nice and sweet and soft-spoken and OTT nauseating as I can take in sweetness to a point. If that wasn't enough, she is all time silent devi. Why? Because that's what her silent mata taught her.

Her mom, is another mute-moded person who has inculcated the most pre-historic values in her daughter, and she has abided by it. Well, our constant nagging for Poonam to speak up, has finally come true, as she in her sweet and soft-spoken style confronted Lakhan, told him her POV, with complete eye contact and no fear.

But Creatives, we constantly nag about Lakhan as well...how long will you take to do something about it??😕

Coming back to the topic,well, for this we have to thank Lakhan, cause his abusive personality is responsible for pushing Poonam to a dead end, which leaves her no choice but to react.

And with PT, coming into the picture, Lakhan is not getting away with his atrocious acts very soon. And neither, is Lakhan going to let go of Poonam that easily.

I don't why people denying that there won't be any love triangle. I can clearly see that. Lakhan don't want to loose his ownership on poonam. and Poonam and Priyom gets attracted and fall in love. Thus, best way to avoid triangle is to either use bindiya to be Lakhan's love interest, which is way beyond the line after lakhan almost killed her, or introduce a new character as lakhan's or priyom's love interest.
