She has seen rules change. She has seen her rule as well. She didn't enjoy her rule per se but it was required to ensure a brilliant future for her offsprings.
She has always had these wrinkles she thinks... The weight of knowledge showing on her face.
Nothing escapes her ever observant eyes, even when she wants to.
She sees the struggles her elder son faces everyday, trying to hold his family and the power both.
She takes it in a laughing stance. Its after all vain trying to hold on to anything in this life. This truth has been etched in her mind for god knows how long.
She knows both family and power are sands... sands that slip through your hands with time. It won't be long before she will start witnessing struggles again and the division of jar, joru and jameen won't help anything.
It is in the nature of mortals to always want more. Never satisfied.
But still she laughs and smiles. Makes most of the life she has. For she knows everything is momentary.
She fondly looks upon all her grandchildren. Its difficult to pick favorites normally, but she has never been normal either. Priyom is her favorite and others never seem to mind.
But when she watches her favorite getting a little too familiar with the lowlife intruder, she snarls like she used to in her older days.
She knows the intruder dreams. It is evident in the intruder's eyes that she dreams of being a queen. She knows that type. And she won't let this one become a Joru of her house if she can help it.
She smiles and tells the imbecile to remain in her own confines and not sprout wings. But she knows it will be in vain.
For she has always known everything. But knowing and changing are two very very different things.
She sees everything. She knows everything.
But no. She cannot control everything.
