Similarities -Bebaakee & Barsaatein

Wondering if anyone has seen Bebakee OTT series. It's from Ekta Kapoor production house. Kushal Tandon played the ML. The similarities are unbelievable.

ML has same business and personal background as Reyansh Lamba.

It's the same actors that are father-son duo in both serials. The last name of FL in Bebaakee is also Sahani. The ML has similar issues - Trust issues, does not smile etc etc. Even the first episode is similar to Bebaakee.

I really hope Barsatein does not go Bebaakee way. It was just too sad, dark and depressing.

I have no idea about this Bebakee but yes don't want any sad drama.

But can't ignore facts. As story goes naturally we will see heart break episodes soon

Bebakee was copied from Ekta's old show Kahin Toh Hoga with Amna and Rajeev Khandelwal.

As for Barsatein, I agree there are a lot of similarities from Bebakee to this show , a bit difference that I find is Rey is a mild version of Sufiyaan.

Rey also has a bit of Ritwik Noon from Dil Hi toh Hai.

I felt it is a mixture of bebakee and Dil hi to hai ...Even bgms are same.... Difference is that there is no parallel lead like imitiaz ....Koi hoga toh third wheel hi hoga like tanu,vedika....Even Rey ki behaviour se mujhe nahi lagta woh bhi hoga...

Reyansh was created by Ekta Kapoor keeping Kushal in mind.

Kushal couldn't shoot for Babaakee season 2 due to covid and his health, so he took this offer to settle his equation with Ekta.

Bebaakee was shelved eventually and ALT Balaji was sold by Ekta. So mostly Ekta has revamped that story in ITV, but there is no parallel lead yet.

So yeah, hence the similarities.

Glad u made this post, as much as I like both the lead actors in the show, I feel that this story is a mix of Bebakee, DHTH, KMH and few other Ekta stories.

Looking at the latest promo where Rey misunderstands Aaradhana because of the hotel room, similar to Bebakee, I feel like this serial is just a revamp of the OTT show

I am gonna stay hopeful that the the story is focused on RL-SJ as the main leads. No 3rd wheel like Abhinav in YRKKH. It just messed up the whole storyline. Lots of serials in past have been successful and memorable with the story being about the main leads. They can bring the jealousy angle but hopefully not butcher the ML character in this case cause of amazing chemistry.
