Hey everyone,

Caught up with the first two episodes, and well am relieved that the inappropriate touch matter wasn't simply brushed aside and was acknowledged in some way.

It's irresponsible to start a "love story" between two protagonists on such a note. Doesn't matter what experiences the ML has had in the past, you simply can't violate a person's personal space and pretend as though it was done in a harmless way.

It's not as though Ardhana was Reyaansh's friend or had been working with him from a long time to know how such actions are to be perceived as. Moreover, even if they had been colleagues from a long time this is not something that would have been acceptable to her.

An employee is trying to explain about how power structures work against women and the next second what you do is casually hit her on the back. To me it seemed as though Reyaansh did it on purpose to annoy Aradhana. Knowing well that it would make her angry. I also wonder if this was his way of "assessing" that whether Aradhana can truly take a stand against harassment as a woman or simply knows how to "preach" on the subject.

The concerning bit though is that no sooner that the matter has been "resolved" that there are already romantic tunes being played on Reyaansh and Aradhana. Those moments of subtle attraction between the duo would have been acceptable had this entire episode of inappropriate touch never happened. But for now it seems a tad too rushed for romantic attraction between the two to be suggested in any way.

Imagine a real life scenario like this, a woman would be considering not working at such a place at all and if not in a position to quit would be running far away from a man who made her feel uncomfortable in such a manner.

And then to show Reyaansh mocking the entire situation by asking Aradhana (in the precap) if the way in which she is holding him is acceptable or not? Well, clearly he still doesn't think he was at fault and doesn't understand how women should be treated.

If you want to showcase something as serious as workplace harassment in your show at least address it sensitively. Don't simply use it to create friction between the leads and pander with it as though it is something that can be dealt with lightly.

That's the problem with ITV they show real world problems and tackle them in very insensitive matters

It was not simple hug or handshake that can be brushed aside as just normal gesture which she misunderstood it was legit misbehave even by the definition of law

There are strict law for work place harrasment and being a journalist who is so righteous always stand up for truth must be knowing basic manners and laws

Not liking women is another thing but misbehaving is not

Either show he is sleazy womeniser and mis understood aradhna and later changed

But showing him as hero than this kind of action shouldn't be taken likely

If your effect is harmful doesn't matter what your intention is

Also when aradhna gave statement to HR it looked like a speech rather than some honest conversation no pause between any sentence 😐
