I think they are doing this so that the show is not totally dependent on SD as it is right now.
And eventually they'll phase out SD so that they are free to leave whenever they want.

This is very depressing. I really hope SD will come back in another show which is even better than Dulhan. Much as I want them to come together in a Bollywood movie, I feel it is so much more risky and a matter of luck. And also more people watch them on television. Both television and bollywood have their pros and cons...

Anyways... as long as I get to see them, I don't care! They can decide between television and bollywood! (As if they had asked for my opinion...) 😆

thanks for the article.

i like that the parallel story is meant to tie into the AD/Sin storyline... to me this indicates that all characters will end up with a more interesting plot to work on. (my guess is that it is on bharat's life..which deserves attention and our interest!)

its also interesting that Shyamji acknowledges that they've run 500 episodes primarily on SD's chemistry! impressive! but i would think that even Sharad&Divyanka would be bored by now...and probably want more meaty stuff to work on.

so this is probably an awesome thing for Dulhann....IF EXECUTED WELL!!!!

But what if he meant that they won't be concentrating on ADs love story because apparently they've shown enough in the 500 episodes. I'd love to see Bharat but I am really selfish when it comes to SD. If anyone tries to takeover I'll be heartbroken. Mujhe kisi aur ko dekhna hi nahin

Totally disappointed and very very saddened.

With what we have seen of the low chem b/w Amar Divya in the past few episodes, we should have realized this was bound to happen.

Enchanted, I totally agree with you. They WILL sideline AD and start the new story and a few episodes later we will come to know that SD have quit the show. That will surely be a sad day for BMTD and I know that not only will they lose viewership but SD may lose some ardent fans too. This show was for the SV/AD love story and they have not completed it. If they were to complete the AD saga and then introduce a new storyline it might be acceptable. But not like this. SV will have died in vain if Sindoora does not get punished and what was the point of the whole rebirth issue if AD cannot complete the final words of Sagar... " yeh kahani abhi khatam nahi hui hai. Sindoora Singh tumhe tumhari kartooton ka phal milega".

And if they keep AD in it but focus on the parallel track will it not drag the serial needlessly. It will become boring specially for those of us who are so used to seeing the story revolve around SV/ AD. Even now we are frustrated becoz SIn takes up so much screen space and we do not get enough of SD.

So it is my earnest request to the producers, Mr Shyam etc to please reconsider and NOT NOT change the storyline too much. Please let AD have their victory over Sindoora before you change it too much.

me too. i watch the show cause i love SD/AD and likely wont watch without them.

But the thing is, the story/direction/etc has been moving very fast recently. I am partial to the fast pace. And I feel, again, if executed well, that one can include a side track (that will eventually be part of the full track) AND have just as many high-quality AD scenes as before.

Look, we've all been complaining about too much Sin, lotsa filler scenes and low-quality nonsense - so there is potential to make this serial faster, more interesting, AND maintain the SD quotient enough to keep TRPs high. No worries. It's all good! 😀

i hope they dont sideline AD completly...i mean thats like THE reason i watch this show...for SD...so if they bring in new characters, thenthey better not take up all da space...
