Yes, Bangladesh was awesome..a little hot and muggy this time of the year..but the food was awesome..so was shopping...😆😆😆 And of course friends and family...they are the best..

I am so sorry, it took me forever to get back to this FF! I completely forgot where I was going with the story!! Honestly! So figured something hastily as I want to finish this one as soon as possible! Thanks for reading. Part Four: The Dark Night

Amar drove around randomly after dropping Divya off at her place. She went off running as soon as the car stopped, uttering a near inaudible "bye". She did look back for split of a second before entering the house! Her sulking face tore his heart! He was filled with unknown emotions and was struggling to grapple with them. He sat in his car in silence with a blank look in his eyes, with a numb heart but thoughts about Divya racing through his neurons.

I am going away to London tomorrow with mom and dad for the rest of the summer and then heading to Palo Alto in Fall. What if I don't get to see you again? You completely misunderstood me Divya! I may have hurt you too! How would I live? This would haunt me all my life. It would be worse than dying---to know that you are hurting because of me! I need to see you before I go, I need to explain why I came but I don't know if you'd see me again or believe my side of the story! Why is life this cruel?

He stared at her house again. The lights went out in all the rooms upstairs. He heard their grandfather clock strike 12, ushering a new day!

He smiled a painful smile and sighed.

How could you think of me like that Divya. I wasn't trying to compensate for Sharad's wrong doings. I told you I wanted to be there with you! I wanted this from first grade. You never noticed because you were in awe with my best friend!

He realized she wouldn't understand how he felt, she only loved Sharad! I am nobody to her! He turned the key and brought the car to life and drove off! His mind was muddled, his heart was aching and he never felt this frustrated in his life!

He drove randomly. The streets are almost deserted. Life has played this cruel joke on me! He thought. I liked you Divya since the day I met you, from first grade! You were shy and quiet like me and had no friends! I saw you reading books all the time while everybody in the class played different things. We became friends because started exchanging story books and discussed them. Those were the most fun time I spent in school. Life was so simple and happy! But I soon realized you had a secret crush on Sharad, like any other girl in school. What can you do? He is fun and energetic, dashingly handsome; he is everything I am not!

Every five minutes in each class you used to steal glances at Sharad who never even noticed you existed apart from gleefully accepting the lecture notes you copied for him diligently for the last 6 years! You befriended me because I was Sharad's best friend! You used to ask me all sorts of questions about him. I don't know how I answered all your quarries, and endured your complete lack of interest in me! I was probably happy that I got to talk to you and share smiles with you! I am a masochist, I admit. But when you are in love you hold on to tiniest of hopes that one day, there would be light at the end of the long dark tunnel of despair and dejection! One day you would understand how I feel and may be reciprocate the same for me!

Do you have any idea how it feels to be in love with a girl who is totally oblivious about you but completely submerged in your best friend who least cares about her! We do have a strange triangle of love!

I wanted to ask you to the prom dance because I knew Sharad was going with Sarah, at least that's what he told me. But he changed his mind unexpectedly and asked you out beating me there too.

Even though the pain was excruciating but seeing the brightness in your face, the light of happiness in your eyes because he asked you made me feel happy in a way! You deserve every bit of happiness out there Divya! Honestly I was happy for you!

Uff…I can't believe I made you cry today! You don't know how I feel. You'd never know! How do I tell you I would die before hurting you in any way! May be its better if I don't complicate things even more. Maybe you'd hate me and forget the pain Sharad caused you! May be what happened is better for all of us in a way!

He founds himself in front Sharad's house! His car is not there. He is still out at the party. Amar couldn't be angry with Sharad, he is his best friend afterall..his closest friend from kindergarten!

Sharad why are you so blind? You whimsically decided to go with her without thinking and then realized you promised Sarah a long time ago that you will take her! And changed your mind right at the very end! Why can't you see this amazing girl loves you more than anything? I wish you would love her back and make her happy!

May be I should knock some sense in you! You stupid fool! As for me, I will go away from here and could live knowing that Divya is happy, only that matters the most in this world!

Amar got out of his car and sat on the stairs of Sharad's house looking completely shattered, waiting patiently for his best friend.
