Part Twenty-Six

Divya insisted Amar take her boating.

" My first time boating here wasn't that nice," she said.

Amar smiled thinking of what happened after that.

" What about the way we met? Did you like that?" he inquired.

Divya rolled her eyes at him.

"I was already scared and you had to push me back into the water! "


He frowned and turned the other way. She tapped his arm.

"Honestly it has become one of the best memories for me, Amar. I really do love what relationship is like now," she quipped.

He turned and smiled at her and they set off in search of a boat.

Eventually they found one and they rowed out into the middle of the river. Divya was deep in thought.

Amar tried staring at her, but it did not affect her in any way. Then he snapped his fingers. No response.

" Kaun se soch mein hai meri biwi," he pondered.

Then he got an idea. He grabbed some water and splashed some on her. It worked this time.

" Amar yeh kya karo ho?," she yelped.

" You were a bit lost there Divya," he commented as he covered himself as she was about to splash him back.

She splashed him quickly then composed herself.

" Oh I was thinking I need to go to London to settle my family's business," she stated.

Amar looked crestfallen. What if she went to London and decided life here wasn't what she wanted.

She seemed to sense this fear in his eyes. She caressed his cheek.

" Kya tum mere saath chalo gaye?" she said almost in a whisper.

He immediately brightened.

" Let me get my passport, all we have to do is book the tickets!," he exclaimed.

Divya frowned.

" Amar but when did you get your visa for London?"

He composed himself.

" Well you know when we went to Delhi for Chintu's operation, I kind of got my visa approved then. I was afraid you would go to London or something after he was all right," Amar quipped.

Divya shook her head.

" My dear husband, you should know once I got here, I was never meant to leave you," she said with her arms around him.
