Divyanka upset over ‘newcomer’ award

However, Divyanka thinks that she deserved winning the best actress. She also felt that she and Sharad should have won the best couple award.

A disappointed Divyanka told us, "I was not expecting this. I am a year old in this industry and so was expecting the best actress award. Also mine and Sharad's on-screen chemistry is nice and has been liked by people so I thought that we will get the best couple award as well."

Apart from that Divyanka was also surprised that her both co-stars Sharad and Kamya did not even get nominations for their roles. "Winning and losing is a different thing but I thought Kamya should at least have at least got nominated for her negative role and so also Sharad for the best actor," opined the actress.

Meanwhile, Sakshi Tanwar (Parvati of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki fame) told Divyanka that she had been to UK recently and realized that Banoo and Divyanka are hugely popular over there. About the compliment, she said, "It feels great. Sakshi is senior actress and I immediately thanked her for that. I have a lot of respect for her and listening to words of praise from such a person is nothing short of an award for me."

Sharing her experience of performing with SRK at the Balaji Awards, Divyanka says, "It was really amazing but I felt sad for Sharad. He is a big fan of Shah Rukh and he missed the chance to shake a leg with him."

This year Divyanka has won most of the awards for either the best new face or the best on-screen couple with Sharad Malhotra.

In the show right now both Vidya and Sagar are planning against Sindoora. Sagar will behave like a child (like earlier) in front of Sindoora to find out about the papers which she had signed from Sagar. He has realized that his sister is behind everything and so wants to know more about her plan.

S n D get really emotional over these awards na? 😆 But I agree with what she said. Maybe shes fed up of winning the newcomer awards.😛 Sharad def. should have been nominated, same with Kamya! And ofcourse Best jodi...well darling we know you 2 are the best!
