'Sharad is a close Friend' -D interview

So, you've replaced Shweta Tiwari as a nominee in the Global Indian TV Honours

I don't know about replacing anyone but I've heard that I've been nominated. And that I'll be performing with Shah Rukh Khan!

One show old and you are already making waves in the industry..

It's making me really nervous. Once the compliments start coming in and you begin to win awards, your responsibilities mount too. Also, you're bound to get bored soon. Keeping the interest alive is another task.

How is Banoo Main Teri Dulhann shaping up?

I believe it's the number one show on TV We're all very involved in . every aspect - right from the script to the look of the characters.

Really?

Yes. When I am supposed to be low, I make sure I don't wear rich and vibrant sarees. I also decide on my hairstyle depending on the situation.

Dulhann's apparently even beaten Saat Phere.

It's a successful show. But not because it's beaten Saat Phere. Those actors work hard too.

What next?

The industry is very unpredictable but I'd like to experiment with new shows. That's why I took up Say Shava Shava. I was terrible in the first two rounds but now I know what kind of songs suit my voice.

Your on-screen chemistry with Sharad Malhotra is getting better with every episode of Banoo.. any particular reason?

It's natural. I'd recently invited him for a special episode of Say Shaava Shaava and our steps matched perfectly We didn't even have to try too hard

What's the off-screen chemistry like?

Oh, I have great off-screen chemistry with Juhi Parmar. (Laughs) No, seriously, Sharad is a very close friend so the chemistry is crackling.
