As heroines in the telly industry are growing with each new serial, the competition is also rising as actresses must keep up with their looks and their reputations at par with the characters they portray. How will you define beauty? Is there really a true definition?
I feel that beauty is whatever one feels comfortable with... for example, the attire they wear, or accessories etc.. that is where the beauty comes from. It's about how well they carry it, and their comfort level. I believe it's the internal beauty that reflects on your face... if you are beautiful on the inside, you look beautiful outside. If you see a beautiful person attractive from the outside, but not so attractive from the inside, then maybe you don't find them beautiful...
It's the reflection of your internal beauty.
You are considered as one of the 'beautiful' women on the screen. How does that make you feel? Do you have a certain rapport or reputation you must live up to?
It doesn't affect me much. It does feel good... for me, I am very simple, and it might be my simplicity that people might like. Maybe it's also because I am good inside that it reflects me like this.

Many people feel like this, but I don't understand why people expect a particular person to be artificial. I would wear what I'm comfortable in... people stand up to their own expectations and not of others. They dress up for themselves. If I'm satisfied with what I'm doing, then others' expectations will be fulfilled themselves.
Do you believe in natural beauty or is makeup a key role in adding some colour on the face?
Yes, I do believe in natural beauty, but I also do add colour to my face. In real life, I also use pure lip gloss... It's really an individual's choice, but I prefer natural beauty.

In terms of Vidya, it would be natural beauty only... She dresses for her husband only, and not for others.
Because she is a simple girl. I also put in my input as well, when she's dressed up simply then I also like that. We have tried many things, but she looks better with simple attire and a minor amount of eye-liner.
