Vidya's Saagar anyways...😆
I know Saagar does deserve a nogging in his head...but I'm going to add my two cents...and defend Saagar (regardless of whether he deserves it or not.)
I'm not saying he's right, but his feelings are justified. It is frustrating to watch him be confuddled half the time, but it is understandable.
Saagar's character is meant to be a perfectionist. He doesn't remember Vidya's sacrifices when he was mentally ill. So we can't really hold him to what he doesn't remember.
What he does know of Vidya confuses him. Vidya's simplicity nonplusses most of us too. We question how Vidya can continue to listen to Sindoora when she knows that Sindoora is never up to any good. It's because Vidya is a simple minded person. We being educated question the niceness and simplicity of Vidya everyday in her actions, not that we doubt her goodness. I think the same goes for Saagar.
It has nothing to him being educated or not. Even sometimes the most educated people lack worldly skill ar the ability to express themselves. He realizes her goodness, and as a result cares for her deeply, but has never experienced what he feels for Vidya before. Like when he talks to Buaji, you can sense his hesitation. His mind can not encompass what his heart feels. In his mind it doesn't feel right.
When Sindoora suggested divorce, he was shocked. I think his anger at that moment was at himself more than anything because he can't think straight when it comes to Vidya, and this frustrates him. He doesn't want to believe Sindoora, but doesn't want to think of the possibility of his sister working against him. Sindoora sugar coats everything. For us it may feel easy because we know the Sindoora of behind the scenes.I mean even someone like Buaji was fooled in the beginning.
As Saagar said to Buaji, that when he thinks about Vidya his mind takes a spin, and he finds himself falling in to a hole. (I think when Saagar talks to Buaji, his true feelings come out.)
The education, I think he's using as an excuse not to fall in love with Vidya. In his mind anyways.
His action today stemmed from his jealousy. When Jealousy and anger mix, they leave you incapable of thinking straight.
I realize that Vidya has been a lot for him, but most of it he has no recollection, and can't be held accountable for. it. Again I'm not saying his actions are right, but his confused frenzy is understandable.
Just wanted to say..Now you can throw any tomatoes you want...(no rotten ones though) I hear they are good for the skin....
