Only Veg

Shyam Bhattacharya, the producer of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann being telecast on Zee T V, has prohibited non-vegetarian food on the sets. No one from the unit of the show, including the cast members, can have any kind of meat or mutton etc and if they feel very great urge to satisfy their taste buds they are told to go out of the sets and indulge themselves in their favorite dishes. The actors and other crew members are fed up with eating only vegetarian food every day. Even when the Dulhann team had gone to Singapore for a shoot, the producer did not allow anyone to take non-vegetarian food on the sets.

As a unit member says, ' Just because our producer is vegetarian, he expects us to turn veggie too. This is really unfair. We are bound by his orders. He is so strict that he does not allow us to get non-vegetarian foods on the sets. We are bored of having the vegetarian food everyday. In fact, when the Dulhann team went to Singapore recently, they were bared from having non-veg food there too.'

On the other hand, producer Shyam Bhattacharya claims that he was a strict vegetarian and was only trying to maintain the sanctity of the sets by not allowing non-veg food on the sets. Personal freedom be damned.
