Article: Ailing Divyanka goes on a break

Divyanka Tripathi aka Vidya of "Banoo Main Teri Dulhann" fame has managed a break for the first time since she joined the show. She managed this leave just because she was unwell.

Two weeks ago, Divyanka was shooting for a sequence where she was to run after an ambulance, which was taking her onscreen husband Sagar to a mental asylum. "It was an important sequence so the shots were being carefully taken and were repeated almost the whole day," informs this cute faced actress.

She had to give the shots barefoot and thus a nail went through her sole and had to be given immediate attention. However, this high-spirited actress continued to shoot even in dire pain. She had to do this running around the whole day and thus by the evening, she was dog tired. "To make matters worse, during one of the shots my saree got entangled with my feet and I fell on my face. My knees and elbow were bleeding, but I did not want them cleaned at the very instance since the pain would increase manifold," said Divyanka.

However, this tough actress continued shooting on the consecutive days. "I'm physically tough even though I do not look like that and no physical constraint me".

But it is a human body after all and after the hectic shooting schedules for the next few days, Divyanka could no longer continue. "One day I was not feeling well and when I consulted the doctor after the days shoot, he advised me to rest, as my body could no longer bear the strain".

At around two in the night Divyanka called up her producers and informed them that she was unwell and had been advised to take rest. "I'm glad that I have got such good producers, they gave an off for two days," confirms Divyanka.

Divyanka is under a two-year contract and is paid on a monthly basis in contrast to the other artists who are paid on a daily basis. Guess, the producer wanted to make full use of the contract!
