A glass-breaking role?
The sets of 'Banoo Main Teri Dulhann' (Zee) experienced pin drop silence probably for the first time when the protagonist Sharad Malhotra who plays Sagar in the show broke a huge glass dinning table. No, he wasn't angry with the director or the producer of the show.
Apparently, he was shooting for a serious scene for which he was required to bang a glass plate on the glass table. Seemingly, he did it with such vigour that he not only hurt his hand badly but also broke the glass plate and the glass dining table.
Sharad says, "I was just required to bang the plate on the table without breaking even the plate. But I got carried away with the scene and banged the plate for more than seventy times until the glass plate as well as the dinning table broke into pieces."
For more than five minutes thereafter, everybody on the sets and the director of the show, Ismail Umar Khan was shock still. Sharad adds, "I was injured and was in a state of shock. We haven't experienced any mishaps on the sets hence this one was a little scary."
Ismail says, "After a while we realised what had happened and rushed to help Sharad. Though, he hurt himself, the effort paid off as the scene looked real. The outcome of the mishap has been brilliant!"
