What started as a token of appreciation apparently developed as a reason for friction between actor Sharad Malhotra (Sagar) of 'Banoo Main Teri Dulhann' (Zee) and director Ismail Umar Khan. Recently, the director has started a novel way of encouraging his actors. He has started giving gifts to actors who render a good performance during the day. In the past few days, Ismail gifted many actors for their good work. Getting into a healthy competition, the actors also made an effort to outdo each other in winning a gift. In fact, most actors succeeded in getting chocolates except Sharad. A source revealed that Sharad would be waiting for his turn to be rewarded while the other actors would walk away with gifts week after week. Apparently, he felt so annoyed that he decided to speak to the director himself. When contacted Sharad revealed, "One day, Ismail gifted a chocolate bar to a co-actor who gave a good shot. Everyone then started clamouring for their bars. It became a kind of a norm. Days turned into weeks but I did not get a single chocolate. So I told Ismail that soon he would have to gift me a bar. The next day, I got my shot right enough to get it!" However Sharad's happiness was short-lived as Ismail started the next round of appreciation and Sharad was left out yet again. Ismail gifted everyone a hundred rupee note except Sharad. The actor shares, "Divyanka Tripathi (Vidya) won the prize money from Ismail. Soon, other actors started receiving it too as I waited for my turn." Sharad continues, "Subsequently, I got so wild at Ismail that I challenged him that I would do the next scene (an extremely emotional one) so well that he would be forced to give me the money! The scene turned out to be amazing and Ismail gave me Rs 101 instead. Boy, was I thrilled! Finally, I got what I wanted and I'm very happy now!"
