Pawan Kumar, director of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, is said to be a perfectionist. The lead actor of the show, Sharad Malhotra, recently bore the brunt of his perfectionism. In one of the scenes, Sharad was supposed to break stones in a factory, so that he would have money to buy a gift for his screen sister, Sindoora.

To give a realistic feel, Pawan literally made Sharad toil before the shot. "Sharad had never done it in his life, thus was not able to give the exact feel. So I made him run for at least ten rounds around the film city office and then when he got tired and was out of breath, I made him break those stones for the scene," said Pawan.

Sharad was so tired that he could barely manage to speak and was unable to pick up the heavy hammer. "I choked while delivering my dialogues," he said. He even screamed at Pawan for making him do such a thing. But Pawan was adamant. He told him to continue with the scene and do as he was told.

"Until and unless you are hungry for three days you will not know how it feels to be without food for three days. The next morning Sharad messaged me and apologised for his rudeness. Not to forget the perfect shot I got from him," laughed Pawan (Sampurn)
