Hey guys, just today i saw on Sahara News that in Haryana, due to a karz of Rs5000, a father had to marry off his daughter (underage) to the lender's mad son.

She was shown a different photo before the wedding and then got married to the crazy son.

After that, she was harrassed by her in-laws coz she didnt bring any dowry. Then, her father-in-law and husband gave her off to another man, for money. So, they sold her.

It's so weird.

On tv, it's all lala land. I mean, all of us find Saagar so cute and everything. But this is just fiction. In real life, imagine how you would feel?

I mean, Saagar is harmless anyways, but that guy lookd scary.

So, when things like that happen in real life, it's not cute anymore.

What are your views?😛

well, yeah things like this happen. Espicially in the Middle Eastern part of the world including India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and so forth...females are treated like trash still today. Its sad to see how a father could sell their daughters off for money, but it still happens today even with all the knowledge and power we have today, the oppresions still exist in the world. And most people who are oppressed are scared to get police involved or media destroys their reputation, the world is still changing but harsh rituals and a bunch of other crap still are here currently. Like if a girl's husband dies, the woman has to wear white, or their hair has to be shaven so no other man can look at her, or burn them alive with their husbands dead body...these things are actually forbidden by God, but people give the name of tradition and honor, which is total crap if you ask me...so marrying a crazy guy for money is not as easy as it looks ands its quite harsh too.

exactly i agree with you guys.

it's sick and demeans women!

but the thing is, when uve been oppressed and stuff, ur afraid to go to the police. i mean, with corruption and all. i know that if i were in india, i'm not sure if i'd trust the police too you know?

and then it's like, if the guy's wife dies, why doesnt HE have to shave his head off or wear white?? er...?

but this real life story has put things in perspective coz in the serial, it all just seems all rosy and stuff.
i wonder if they wud actualli make a serial of a crazy guy who actually is full on crazy. and not ur "aw ur so cute" kinda guy
