Chinu smiled as he was left alone in his room again. Sanju had gone downstairs with the dishes. He smiled thinking about how beautiful Vidya would look on her wedding day. His little sister, all grown up, ready to get married. He sighed as he stopped himself from getting emotional. His dream was finally coming true. He didn't want his background to affect Vidya's future. He wanted her to have a life of a traditional girl. And Rohit was the perfect guy for her. Chinu noticed the way Rohit always looked at Vidya. Chinu was aware of Rohit's feelings for Vidya all along. Rohit cared immensely for her. If Chinu was going to give Vidya away to a guy, he couldn't have asked for a better guy. Rohit was intelligent, good looking, had a career, came from a good family, and most importantly he loved Vidya. He tried his best to hold his emotions but his eyes got watery, while his face still held a smile.
Sanju was hell bent on getting stuff out of Chinu tonight. She walked back towards the room as she kept thinking of ways to confuse Chinu to spill the truth. She opened the door and was ready to say something but stopped as she saw Chinu lost in his thoughts. She noticed his moist eyes and sighed as she decided to back out of her plans. She caused him enough trouble for one night. The rest she would do later. She cleared her throat and Chinu blinked quickly looking away from her.
Sanju stood at the same spot and said, "I just came to tell you that I have decided that I am still angry at you so I am going to go sleep in Vidya's room." She didn't even wait for him to reply and stepped out closing the door behind her. She knew mentioning Vidya's wedding was going to make him emotional. Why did she have to do it tonight? Couldn't she bother him and confuse him all night until he gave in and then in the morning tell him? She shook her head as she thought about the possibilities as she walked towards Vidya's room. She hoped Vidya would be awake so she could also tell her about Rohit coming home. She had waited for this day for so long. Vidya's wedding day. Sanju was going to enjoy teasing Vidya. And no matter how much Vidya was going to get annoyed, she was not going to take this away from Sanju. She smiled as she reached the door and as she grabbed the door knob she realized the door was locked. She rolled her eyes and thought about knocking but then stopped because Vidya was most likely asleep, she thought. She thought for a while and then started walking downstairs. She was going to have to sleep on the couch. She would deal with both brother and sister in the morning.
Vidya sat on the edge of the bed as she was tying her shoe laces. She looked towards the clock. It was almost five. She smiled and looked back. Sagar was still lying on the bed with his hands behind his head. Her eyes met his and a smile automatically came over her face. He winked and sat up trying to reach for her. Vidya saw that and got up and took a few steps back still looking towards him. "So when will I see you again?" He asked.
She smiled as she grabbed her hair to put into a ponytail. He wanted to see her again. Surprise, surprise! She thought this would be last time she would ever see Sagar. Once he got what he wanted, he would simply forget about her. If he wanted to see her again, no way she was going disagree. She smiled as she finished tying her hair and said, "That depends!"
He smirked. "Depends on what?"
"On my schedule. You see, I have a very tight schedule." She said teasingly.
It was working. He raised a brow. "I would like to see you tomorrow; does that work with your schedule?" He asked smiling. He saw Vidya was about to say something but his cell phone rang. He reached for his phone and looked to see who was calling. Vidya noticed his expressions changed as soon as he saw the phone screen. She didn't like that expression on his face. She saw him disconnect without even answering. "Is everything alright?" She asked as she stepped closer to the bed again. He threw his phone on the side table and in a quick motion reached for her and pulled. Before she knew, she was sitting in front of him with his hands in her hair. He pulled her hair open again and said "I like your hair better this way." Oh, no! Not again. She was not going to let him sweet talk his way into seducing her again. She pulled her way out of his arms and stood up again. She smiled and said, "I will sneak out tomorrow night around the same time. Now, I have to go before I get caught." She finished her sentence and started walking towards the door. He saw her walking away and shouted out "I'll be waiting." She turned around and winked and smiled saying "Me, too!"
He ran his hand through his hair as he dropped back on the bed. Vidya, she was something else. He had never been this happy with any other woman before. It was as if she casted a spell on him. The more he saw her the more he wanted her. He had to admit, he did not plan on asking Vidya if he would see her again. But he did ask. It was as if he could never get enough of her. He grinned and asked himself, "What is going on, Sagar?" He was experiencing feeling that he did not know were possible. Could it be? Was Vidya the type of woman men described falling in love with. The type of woman men wrote poetry for and swore to do anything for. He shook his head as countless memories of the beautiful night he had spent with Vidya ran through his mind. But then his thoughts wandered off to the phone call and he stopped smiling. He looked towards his side table and immediately grabbed his cell phone. He saw the message for the missed call and clicked on it. The screen read Radha. He thought about for a while and decided to call back.
Vidya walked back towards her house with the biggest smile of her face. She had just experienced the most beautiful night of her life. Surprisingly, she did not, at all, feel guilty about the decision she had made to spend the night with Sagar. She had no idea what the consequences would be. But she was happy with her decision because she was genuinely happy. Happiness. That was a strange word to Vidya. She had always noticed that her happiness was very short lived. She had no idea what was waiting for her in the future. But she was going to enjoy her present. She thought she was going to spend only one night with Sagar and then never see him again. But he asked to see her again. She smiled as a hope emerged in her. Maybe, just maybe, Sagar would decide to keep her around. She wouldn't care where he would take her; she just wanted to be with him. She noticed she had reached home. She was about to walk towards the door when she realized she had sneaked out. She was going to have sneak up to her room through the window. Fear leaped into her as she thought about how she would face Chinu and Sanju.
P.S. I know this is kind of short, but this is all I could manage. I'll try to update again in couple of days.😊
