Vidya tried her best to look away but she was helpless as Sagar's eyes caught hers. He saw her staring and smiled. The cars were stopped she had the right of way to cross the street yet she stood at the same spot staring. Tongue in cheek, he gestured her to cross the street. Vidya tried not to look embarrassed and while mumbling looked down towards her feet and started walking. Sagar's gaze followed her as she crossed the street and then entered the video store by slam opening the door. Sagar couldn't help but laugh. He was busy laughing when he heard the car behind him honk. He looked in the rearview mirror and shook his head and then started driving.

Inside the video store, Vidya was paying the least attention to which DVD's she was looking at because she was too busy mumbling and being angry at Sagar. How could he not even say "hi?" He sat there like the big jerk that he is and didn't do anything. "Why the hell do I like him?" She asked herself. She sighed and whispered "Because he is hot!" She closed her eyes and bumped her head against the stacked DVD's.

"That is a unique way to select DVD's!" Vidya heard those words and slowly lifted her head and opened her eyes as she turned around and saw him. His smile and those big eyes, she couldn't help but grin. She didn't think she would ever get the courage to speak again. Sagar saw the look on her face and realized that she was going gaga over him again. He smiled as his ego inflated helplessly. Having a girl staring at you like you are the best thing around, there is no feeling like it. He extended a hand to grab one of the DVD's off the shelf and said "So which movie were you actually looking for?" Vidya smiled as she saw him reading the cover of the DVD and said "Since when does your highness visit a small video store like this?"

He quickly looked up and shot her a look that had her weak in the knees. He smiled and said "Since I saw you enter the video store." He put the DVD back and said "I was on my way to get some lunch, you wanna come?" She raised a brow. "Lunch? Do you have a new business proposition for me?" She asked grinning. He noticed her grinning and then noticed that she had her hair tied back. He extended his hand and pulled her hair down. Vidya stared surprisingly while smiling. "I didn't get you a nice haircut so you could hide it by wearing it up…so are you coming with me or what?" He asked.

Chinu was still sitting at the table with his hand bleeding. He saw Sanju rushing over with the first aid kit. She came and sat right in front of him as she grabbed his hand and started cleaning his wound. The worry on her face said it all. How much love she had for him, there was no way he could ignore it. Sanju looked up and caught him staring. The look she had waited to see in his eyes for years was there. She couldn't believe it. Was she dreaming, she asked herself and then shook her head realizing that it was not a dream. "Why are you such a big idiot?" She asked him and he didn't reply. She applied the band aid on his hand and then sitting at the same spot sighed and said "Why can't you just admit that you love me." Chinu looked at his hand and got up from his chair and said "Congratulations on getting married." She also stood up in anger now and fought the urge to punch him. He looked away. But Sanju was not going to give up easily; she moved in front of him and said "Congratulations? Is that what you have to say to me? Are you seriously happy that I am getting married to someone else?" She shouted and was going red in the face from anger. He tried walking away but she grabbed his shirt and stopped him from walking and said "You are seriously okay with seeing me with another man?" She asked and saw the expressions on his face change to anger. She didn't stop. If he was on the edge of bursting, she was going to cause him to burst. "Tell me! Are you okay with me being with another man? In his life, in his house, in his bed…" That was it; those were the words that drove him over the edge. He grabbed her by her hair and yanked her head back. Sanju didn't move her eyes from his eyes. There were unrecognizable emotions in his eyes. He finally spoke "No. I am not okay with you being with another man. I will kill any man who comes near you." He said with such fierce anger in his eyes that scared Sanju to death. But that was just the beginning of shocks Sanju was in for. He loosened the grip on her hair and the look in his eyes changed once again. Now it was desire that was showing in his eyes. His fingers lightly caressed her soft cheek as he moved closer to her. Sanju closed her eyes as she felt she was in a dream. "I Love you, Sanju" he said and Sanju's eyes opened in shock as she heard the words she had waited so long to hear. She couldn't help it as tears rolled out of her eyes. Chinu saw her tears and realized what he just did. He tried to recover quickly by putting a sarcastic smirk on his face and said "Is that what you wanted to hear, or should I add more lies into what I just said"

Ouch! That hurt. Sanju couldn't believe it. How could he be such a jerk? The tears kept rolling as she saw the look on his face. He backed away and started walking away. Sanju wiped her tears and shouted "You jerk! You think you can play with me like that and then walk away." He continued walking and said "Get married to the fool who agreed to marry you and leave me alone!" She tried her best to hold her scream as she saw him walking. "You jackass, I am not getting married to anyone else. You are gonna marry me whether you like it or not and I am not going to leave you alone either!!" Chinu didn't stop and walked out of the house as Sanju now screamed and said "Wait till you get back!"

Vidya was sitting in Sagar's car again. There something she thought would never happen. The lunch with him was great. But now what? Why was she in his car again? Why did she not leave directly from the restaurant? Why did she always lose her ability to think when she was with Sagar? And where were they headed now? She cleared her throat as she looked towards Sagar and asked "Where are we going?" Sagar without looking at her replied "Wherever you want to go?"

"The job I was hired to do is over. So why are you being nice to me and hanging out with me?" Vidya asked him.

Sagar thought about what he should say because he knew his honest answer wouldn't be a wise move. "I am interested in you, Vidya!"

She laughed. She wasn't born yesterday. Alright, even if it killed her, she was going to honest with him. "You are not interested in me, Sagar. You are interested in my body" she said.

Sagar immediately pulled over and then looked towards her as she looked back. "Are we seriously about to have this conversation?" he asked.

Vidya raised a brow and said "Well, it's the truth, isn't it?"

He grinned again and decided to be honest as well. "Yeah, it is the truth. So what do you think we should do about it because obviously you are also interested in my body?" he said as he winked.

Oh, God! What had she done? She couldn't hide the blush on her cheeks, it was impossible. He was openly flirting with her and offering an invitation. Part of her wanted to give in so badly, but the other sane part took over and she shook her head and said "This is not a western country, Mister. I might be a chor by profession but that doesn't mean that I don't have values and self-respect."

"So having values and self-respect means ignoring your desires?" Sagar asked in confusion.

He had a point, Vidya thought. But before he could convince her to agree with him she shook her head and said "No! I am not going to sleep with you! What will people say?"

Sagar laughed and said "So you care more about what people say? The same people who didn't give a crap about you when you were growing up on streets without anything to eat."

Again, he had a point. She was not going to let him convince her. She took a sigh and said "I am not going to sleep with you. So give up! Thanks for the lunch and it was nice to meet you again, now I am gonna go." She reached for the car door when Sagar laughed and said "Alright, your choice. I am in town for another week or so. If you change your mind, you know where to find me." She rolled her eyes in disbelief at his cockiness and got out of the car. She started walking away but when she heard Sagar's car driving away, she stopped and sat at the bench near the bus stop. "What the hell just happened?" she asked herself. Sagar Partap Singh, the man she was drooling over, just made a move on her and she turned him down. Holy crap! She thought as she tried to clear her head and got in the bus that arrived.

Vidya got home and saw Sanju pacing in the living room as it looked like all hell had been broken loose. "What's wrong?" Vidya asked. Sanju as upset as she was broke down and started crying as she started telling Vidya what had happened earlier that day. After hearing Sanju's story, Vidya's own situation didn't seem so bad. Vidya tried to console Sanju. Sanju all of the sudden wiped her tears and said "I am not going home tonight; I have a serious bone to pick with Chinu. So you better not come in my way, Vidya." That didn't sound good; Vidya thought but said nothing seeing how angry Sanju was. Vidya smiled nervously as Sanju walked towards the kitchen. Chinu ki shamat was pakki, Vidya thought as she got up and walked upstairs to her room.

Vidya came out of the shower and looked at the clock. Chinu should have been home by now. It was getting late and Sanju was dying with anger waiting for him in his room. As Vidya dropped her towel on the bed, she saw the envelope that Sagar had handed her. She still hadn't opened it. So how much did he write the check for, she wondered as she grabbed the envelope. Strange, it felt a little heavier than the weight of a check. She immediately opened it and first took out the check and without even reading it she looked for what else was in the envelope. She shook the envelope and her jaw dropped when she saw what fell on her palm. The necklace she had seen in the jewelry shop which was too expensive for her. She remembered that Sagar had caught her looking at it. She smiled as her eyes got teary. The douche bag remembered and he cared enough to buy it for her. "Oh, NO!" She shouted as she realized that Sagar got to her once again. Just then she heard the door down stairs open. Chinu was home as he shouted on top of his lungs making the whole neighborhood aware that he was hungry. Vidya heard him walking up the stairs and knew that he was headed for shower. And she knew that he would be too occupied with Sanju and her yelling once he entered his room to notice Vidya. She looked at the clock and then looked at the necklace in her hand. She bit her bottom lip and said "I guess it wouldn't hurt if I went to see him to say a thank you!" She looked in the mirror and said "Just for few minutes, that's it!"

Vidya reached the outside of Sagar's house and was about to ring the door bell but remembered that it was past nine so all of his servants would not be there. She could sneak in through a window. Or better yet, she knew the code to his garage. She could enter from there and so she did. She couldn't believe how easy it was. She was inside the house. Now what? She didn't know where his bedroom was. She was walking through the long hallway when she noticed a light on the second floor. She smiled and started walking up the stairs. She reached the door of the room that the light was coming from. She sighed as she raised her hand and brought it down twice before actually getting the courage to knock. She bit her lip in nervousness as she waited. Finally, the door opened and she saw Sagar standing on the other side in his boxers with a confused look on his face. She looked at him and melted and realized that maybe it was not such a great idea to show up at his place.
