Bandini is the first Indian serial that I've watched since the beginning, the storyline of this serial was unusual, different,unique and consistent and also because of the awesome, fantastic, flawless and natural acting of the of the lead pair, Aasiya Kazi and Ronit Roy, Sanraj. As a consequence, it is not very surprising that Bandini was the number one show on your channel.
Then arrived a series of leaps which led to the downfall of Bandini.
The 10 year leap :
Bandini lost some of its magic since the character of DM has been seriously altered and I am sure that I am not the only viewer who feels this. DM, heart and soul of this show, who makes everyone trembles with just a single word, whose zuban is his life, who is so intelligent and sharp that no one can fool around him and who's always one step ahead of others, became a shadow of his original character. I liked the change of Santu's character even if she remained, from my point of view, the sweet and cute dufford, that's why Santu's character is so lovable.
This 10 year brought along also a series of tracks that I did not like and I'll skip the listing of these tracks since bygones are bygones. Bandinians kept fervently hoping for the best but each track that was pulled up was worse than the former....
Then came the much dreaded 16 year leap which I personally hate:
Beforehand, I thank both BT and Imagine for the great effort they are putting in for the restoration of Bandini.
But on behalf on many Bandinians who are sharing my POV, I am saying the below in order to have our beloved rocking Bandini back once again:
Many of us wants a pregnant Santu and little kids, etc but some of us are definitely right in saying that it's weird somehow to have a pregnant Santu now (the imli scene in last week episode suddenly triggered a sudden craving for Santu's pregnancy among Bandinians). It is still possible to introduce little kids but this also will seem very strange somehow... since no mention until now of Sanraj kids other than Vishal.
The much dreaded leap, that audience fully rejected in the first place, is the root of the current problem of the show. To sum up, the leap has brought everything that Bandinians hate to the core :
1) Sanraj old looks, everybody is requesting pre leap looks, lack of Sanraj romance
2) Overgrown teens who should be around 14-18 is looking and acting like adults
3) The Mahabharat track is more than audience can bear, we've had enough of negativity and evilness since the 10 year leap, I don't think that contributes solely to the success of a show
4) Shashank, one of the sweetest character, is becoming more and more hateful and unbearable, why?
In all, this 16 year leap from my POV has ruined the true essence of Bandini even if the new creatives is repairing the damage here and there to save Bandini.
Sanraj romance is still awesome, mainly because of RR and AK superb acting, but it will seem more and more weird to show intimate scenes between them since Sanraj are grandparents now, thankfully we've been spared that till now. I just love the way the new creatives are showing us the deep bond between Sanraj, so subtle yet so strong. Santu falling pregnant too now is unhealthy and odd at this stage. Many Bandinians are currently begging for more Sanraj romantic scenes, Sanraj little kids and Sanraj's pregnancy, but from my POV it's simply weird to show these after the 16 year leap, certain things are irreversible.
The only logical thing that came to my mind after reading all the Bandinians views: reverse back this leap so that audience will get what they are craving for :
1) More and more Sanraj, Santu's becoming pregnant, Sanraj little kids, restoration of the looks, etc
2) Manish-Birwa track, Suraj-Juhi track, long forgotten Khemi track, many other tracks so that Bandini can last infinitely
3)The end of the longest track ever : arjaan track, till date, this track is a mystery for the family
4) Normal teens
5) The end of the Mahabharat track that everybody hates
6) The complete restoration of old Bandini to keep it unique
Since this is thankfully fiction, the leap can still be reversed.
The last thing that Santu's had in mind before her coma is Vishal behaving like a brat. His pervert behaviour after leap is enough to wake up the dead. Let all that's happened after the leap till she finds Vishal's true intentions be a nightmare during her coma and let her wake up from it like that. These kinds of things happen in movies why not in Bandini (please have a look at the concept in the movie If Only :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_Only_(film).
What I have written in the above is entirely my point of view with my own pros and cons because I don't want to lose Bandini once again because of the recrudescence of weird tracks that's been shown till now.
