Thanx for the article Ramona.

It looks like there are some inaccuracies in the article because truth is Ronit did do a serial for another production company while he was in KZK. He was in Sarrkarr on Zee which if my memory serves me right, used to air at the same time as KZK.

So there was a little bump in the road for Ronit and Ekta's friendship. This was mainly coz Ronit was in both serials and was basically competing with himself and ratings for KZK were also going down coz of Sarrkarr, which Ekta didn't like and asked Ronit to choose between Sarrkarr and KZK.

There were rumours that he chose Sarrkarr as well over KZK, which was his claim to fame. I clearly remember because there were rumours that Bajaj was going to die and thats when PRB had an accident and Bajaj went into coma and Prerna didn't remember her marriage to Bajaj, I think it was late 2005. In the end Ronit stayed with Ekta I think because of his loyalty to her and was killed off in Sarrkarr.

I don't think there have been any other problems between Ekta and Ronit since and he's stayed loyal to her even after KZK and KSBKBT finished. I would like to see him in other serials other than Balaji but THB Ekta gives him the best roles.

@Luv-Shonit -- you're right, even I was thinking of the other non-BT soap that RR did and was trying to recall the name......he was in it with his brother Rohit and I have heard it was a good show and then RR had to quit.

@Katrina - why do you think the other tv actors of previous BT shows are just waiting for Ekta to give them a call, do you have some inside info....couldn't it be that these actors are not interested in whatever roles Ekta is offering them? Besides TV actors life is limited, with few exceptions like RR, most leads are identified with one character, last only one show and then they vanish and this is not just for BT actors. Most of the actors you mentioned are doing well for themselves, Prachi is in movies now, Ram has acted in some movies and even a TV show and hosted a reality show, Shweta was in a soap after KZK, she hosted JDJ and was even in a reality show and a comedy show as well, Sakshi has done cameos in a couple of show and she even hosted a show with Anup Soni, so I wonder why you think all these actors are just waiting around desperate for Ekta to give them a call.

Shabbo n Jai hosting the chat show..

Panchi and Shwetha will soon appear in a show in sahara.

Hiten was in some other show as well.

Iqbal has got a show, so does have Sanjeeda and Amir. Shubhangi has another show. Karan was in a reality show.

Meghna is seen in Pratigya. Shardul in GB. Rajeev Khandelwal had a reality show. Chhavi Mittal doing lead role in an upcoming show. Sanjay Nath just entered some other show. Prshant did two films since he left Bandini. So most of the actors are getting offers from other than BT.

what is PR?

by the way he is doing kitchn chmpn also n he said in intrvw he will do wrk only with ekta??????????

Thanks for the article...

This kind of friendship in TV world is quite rare ( like one in a billion ). They both made their choice, they named the reasons why and I think that we are lucky witnesses to this. RR as DM, just WOW and I cant picture someone else in that role...

PR is Pavitra Rishta, Ekta's only other successful serial currently which airs on Zee. And RR means that he will only do soaps for Ekta and no one else, KC is a reality show and he's allowed to do reality shows, he's actually took part in a few. There was JDJ, YHJ and AMV(both with ST) and I can't remember anymore so I think thats it.

😲 I remember Sarkar if I'm not mistaken it also starred his brother Rohit Roy, Shewta and Mouli Ganguly about a politician family. Wow the show was different and good so ahead of it's time. I never knew that why his character Kunal Veer Pratab Singh was killed, yes I still remember 😆 cause just loved his character. I loved that the head making the decision was a woman.

Yeah I also liked Sarkarr obviously coz of RR and yeah it included his brother Rohit Roy as well.

When I read the article in late 2005, where he it stated that he chose to go with Sarkarr rather than KZK I got the greatest shock in my life because I wanted him with Prerna in KZK and if he left it meant that Prerna would not get her memory back and would live with Anurag. Thank God RR decided to stay on in KZK and they didn't kill him off coz we got another 2yrs of PRB together. Also had he gone we would not have seen him in Bandini today coz as we all know Ekta does not forgive easily.
