In the highly fickle and transient world of television..there is only one such association that has spanned years many soaps numerous ups and downs in business and that is of big B of tv Ronit ROY and Balaji HEAD Ekta kapoor..no other and we repeat no other actor has had even a quarter of this no. Of years with this or any other production house..lets find out what binds ekta & Ronit in this highly dog eat dog world of television..Yes we go back ten years says Ronit..i have never worked in a soap produced by anyone else..and never will..only do what she offers me..I have given her my loyalty and hard work..she in turn took a dead actor & resurrected him..what do I say..for an actor who considered his career over & done with..to have achieved what I did thereafter is nothing short of bordering on the miraculous for me..i will never hear a word against her..and no one dares to say it in front of me..she built an empire...how many of her detractors can claim to have done it? Ekta speaks in equally glowing terms of her protegee..he has power stature '& arrogance of both an urban & rural man..thats why he excelled both in the roles of bajaj & DM..we wrote these roles specially for him & he more than did justice to them...Yes Ronit is worth every penny we pay him cant say the same for the others though..i hate actors who charge too much..in the case of Ronit ONLY of course its more than worth it..never a harsh word never even the slightest argument or disagreement ever transpired between us..Ronit says touche to that...Ekta gives me full creative freedom..if i disagree with the way the track is going i put my foot down bcoz ultimately no one knows this character as well as i do...So whats in the future for Ronit Ekta?Well says Ronit..lets see what she offers me..Ekta says at one time i had a lot of top soaps..now its just PR and BANDINI..the latter of course owes everything to Ronit..i've always said doing tv is like riding a tiger..you maybe no.1 one day but the person at no.2 will do all in his might to push you off any moment..Source: sunday brunch
