Hello, hello, my Bandini lovelies! I go away for a few days and come back to find endless comedy! š
There's the evil Dr. Megha who bunked school when they were teaching that unconscious men make the worst lovers.
There's Lady Sarang, the world's worst villain who can't even marry properly for money much less kidnap Santu.
There's Vishal who sits upstairs waiting for Megha to spill the beans so he can run downstairs and only listen to Megha tell him he's her son.
There's DM who just leaves after spending months wondering who the hell Vishal is.
There's Moti who's forgotten all about jail.
There's Kaddu showing once again her brain is made of leftover pumpkin.
I've decided I will no longer moan about how this isn't the old Bandini anymore. Let's face it folks, that Bandini is gone forever. This is our new Bandini. So let's see Santu deal with her angry husband and her idiot son now. I'll update as the show goes on.
******************
PART 1 - Santu is walking dazed in wedding get up and Birwa and Hiten find her. She tells them that her son hates her and doesn't want to call her mother.
Birwa and Hiten console her and remind her that it took a long time for the family to accept her as their mother and she should remember that when dealing with Vishal. Hiten says Vishal has suffered a lot in his short life and needs some time to come to terms.
Santu sees Moti walking towards them and goes to thank her for siding with her against Megha even though Santu had treated her harshly in the days leading up to the wedding. Moti immediately puts her in her place and tells her nothing has changed about their relationship and she only did what she did for her brother's sake.
Birwa and Hiten ask Santu not to mind and talk to DM instead who isn't speaking to anyone.
Santu goes to DM who thinks it's Moti and tells her to go away. When Santu reveals it's her, he opens the door and angrily asks her what she wants.
Santu says he has every right to be angry with her but she had to take the decision she did because she didn't want some kid to lose his rights because of her and so she believed those proofs.
DM angrily points out that he never believed anything against her even when the proof was against her. He says the way she coolly turned against him proves that she didn't trust him or want to trust him. If she'd only believed in him, he would have fought against every darkness. Instead she didn't even tell him about the pregnancy.
Santu feebly replies that she thought the baby had died but DM is still furious and says he had a right to know she was pregnant, forget whether the baby lived or died. Santu has no answer and calls after him as he walks away from her.
Birwa and Hiten are escorting Manish to DM and they meet in the corridor. Manish tries to explain that he was mistaken when DM says never mind, he can't fault outsiders for believing nonsense about him when his own family didn't believe him. Hiten and Birwa look silly.
He further says the day he saw Manish with Megha he'd decided he'd never do business with Manish so him ending the business partnership doesn't bother him at all.
Manish says he thought maybe DM would like to thank him for saving him from Megha. And DM says oh yeah, thanks for all the good you did too. And walks away.
Manish shakes his head and says wow, DM will always remain DM and there's no understanding him. Birwa and Hiten glare at him silently as he leaves.
DM is walking past a bedroom when he sees Vishal on the floor, sleeping curled up around a photo of him with Megha. He puts Vishal in bed and Vishal is still murmuring in his sleep for Megha. DM apologizes in his head to Vishal for not recognizing him earlier. He thinks that he saw the mannerisms but he didn't see the blood.
PART 2 - Sarang is worried about the way things turned out (sorry, I missed the beginning of this part so I don't know what he was thinking) and Birwa comes there and taunts him.
She says he's right to be worried because if the family ever found out his truth, he'd meet the same fate as Megha. Sarang gets more and more confident by the second for some reason.
Birwa goes to the cupboard and hands him divorce papers. SHe says sign or I'll tell DM your truth. Sarang says he'll never believe you because even if you tell him about your signing your wealth over to Monghi, I'll tell him I already knew about it.
Birwa says then I'll tell him about your romancing of Monghi and plenty of people will step up to give evidence about that. Sarang says even DM had a lot of proof against him but he was innocent.
Birwa then laughs and says he made one big mistake. He tried to kill Santu. Sarang is shocked. Birwa says yes she knows all about it and she has proof about it too. Sign or he'll join Megha in jail.
Sarang thinks hard about it - if he signs the papers, he won't get any money but if he doesn't sign the paper, he'll go to jail. So he signs the papers. Birwa says she'd like to kick him out that day itself but she doesn't want anything to interfere with Monghi's wedding so he can stay there until Monghi gets married. Sarang looks thoughtful.
Next morning, Santu tries to give Vishal his breakfast but he won't open the door. Moti comes up behind her and says it's his Taru foi and she has some news about Megha. Vishal immediately opens the door and glares at Santu. Santu tries to give him the tray but Moti grabs it and marches inside, while Vishal closes the door against Santu.
Santu runs to the aangan and complains to God about it. Baa hears her and she runs to Baa and says she's being punished for not believing in her Maalik. The child for whom she sacrificed her relationship with her husband isn't even ready to call her mother.
Baa says with DM by her side everything will be ok. Trust in God.
PART 3 - DM comes downstairs and Hiten and Birwa are standing there holding his walking stick. DM is like, why? Hiten explains that when they were little and did something wrong, he used to beat them with that stick, so now they've done something as bad as doubting his character, he should beat them again.
DM falls down laughing at the idiot children he's raised. No, that doesn't happen except in Bumtrinket's imagination.
Instead, DM smiles and asks Hiten if he's gone mad and says to hold on to that cane, it'll help support him when he's an old man. He says parents only punish their kids to teach them better and he knows his kids will never do anything like this again. He then laughs at Birwa for looking so scared the two of them hug and Birwa apologizes.
Baa comes up then and says what about elders who make mistakes? She begs his forgiveness too for doubting him when she always said she knew him best. DM laughs and says it's ok and now they should all live happily.
Baa says happily with Santu, right? DM's face changes and says let's not talk about that subject. Baa says his anger comes from his love and it's his hurt ego that's talking now. She tells him how Santu has been crying and feeling terrible for doubting him and reminds him of all the things she's done for the family.
Santu walks in the door just then and DM calls her chhokri and tells her to move her belongings to Sanraj bedroom. He also asks her to bring him some tea. Santu stares at him as if she can't believe it. Birwa runs to her and hugs her, Hiten hugs Baa and kisses the top of her head. They all smile.
Santu brings DM his tea and he sits down and drinks it. Santu is half-hiding behind one of the posts of the bed. DM asks her to see what's in a box on the bed. Santu picks it up and it's a pink saree. She stares at him in shock.
DM puts his cup down and tells her to sit on the bed. He sits next to her and brings out payals from his pocket and tries to put them on her feet. Santu tries to stop him but he gently moves her hand aside and puts them on.
Santu can't stop her tears and hugs him. DM says what's done is done and the past is forgotten. Everytime the two of them part, when they meet again, their love only increases. She should only smile from now on because that's how he likes to see her. And he thanks her for her tea and says it was excellent.
Santu sadly says but now he prefers coffee instead. DM gets a teasing look in his eyes and says well, he only said that to worry her. Coffee is too bitter. He says but they had to drink that bitter coffee because it brought their son to them.
Santu tells him Vishal hates her and doesn't think she's his mother. DM says kids can't stay mad at their parents for a long time. Santu brought their son into the house, now he'll make sure the kid loves her. The two of them hug, sitting side by side.
