Toral and Suraj walked back in the house, seating themselves on the sofa's.. They both talked about how life was not divulging much into details about the businesses or Khemi..
Hiten came in and saw Suraj.. Plonking his suitcase and loosening his tie, he walked over and hugged his kid brother.
Hiten: How are you?
Suraj: I'm good bhai, what about you..
Hiten: Good.. So is Maulik back too?
Suraj feeling in a awkward position, didn't know what to say as he knew of the on-going feud between his brother and simply nodded..
Hiten: Aarav's nanny phoned today..
Toral looking worried hearing her son's name.. Aarav was HiRal's 8year old son.. She had sent him to England private boarding school to ensure a better life away from the bad atmosphere in Dharampur..
Toral: Is he okay?
Hiten: He's fine.. She wants to know whether he will be staying here for longer that 6 weeks.. Last year she said she had to go back alone as you insisted on keeping him longer…
Toral: Stupid woman isn't she? I mean how do I know what will happen..?
Suraj got up and went to the kitchen..
Hiten: You didn't tell him did you?
Toral: No, I wanted to know if you will be able to take him out so that I can set the house up for the time you return..
Hiten: I'll take care of that.. Make sure you invite Santu.. He loves her a lot and no matter how we feel it is important that we make sure she is there.. Also Kaddu and everyone will be coming along with Baa and Babuji.. The other guests will arrive by 7pm too..
Toral: It will be a nice time.. Even if we are pretending to be happy together for Suraj's sake atleast we will be together as a family..
Hiten didn't answer but Toral knew he wanted the same.. He too missed his family being together but nothing could be done as the damage was too bad..
Hiten: And make sure he comes..?
Toral: I will talk to Maulik.. Don't worry..
Hiten got up and joined Suraj and told him that he needed to go out for sometime and asked him to accompany him.. Bored and nothing much to do Suraj agreed and Toral started her work to transform the house into a party atmosphere..
Toral invited Santu who said she didn't want to partake in any function but remembering DM's words agreed…
Khemi didn't seem interested but was ready first.. She wore a heavy pale yellow sari and large diamond earrings..
Moti wore a purple banarsi sari with pearl work..
Toral stayed simple and wore a red salwar suit..
The guests arrived and so did Baa and all the other members.. Formally greeting Moti and Khemi they stood near Maulik..
DM came and sat on the sofa and spoke with Shanky for the first time in many years… He bent down and took Baa and Babuji's blessing who helplessly placed their hand on his head…
Everyone went silent as they heard the cham cham noise of payals and DM smiled as he knew Santu was coming down…
She was wearing a royal blue sari and a diamond set.. She walked down as all eyes stayed on her.. She caught a glimpse of all the family.
Baa, Babuji, Kaddu, Shanky.. They all looked the same but had somewhat aged..
Baa got up but Babuji placed his hand on her shoulder shaking his head..
Santu looked at DM who was totally mesmerized by her..
Just then Toral came in..
Toral: Okay everyone.. Suraj is outside.. We will switch all the lights off.. Champa will then enter with the cake..
Saying this the lights turned off and DM got up.. He could see Santu.. He walked over and put his arms around her waist..
Whispering Santu: Let go Maalik.. Someone will see..
W DM: In the dark..
W Santu: I said na, Please..
W DM: Watch what I do now..
He kissed her back and moved away..
Just then the lights came on and everyone cheered as Suraj came through the doors.. He was shocked and happy as he saw the faces of his most favourite people.
Suraj: When? How..
Toral: Maa hu na? it's the least I could do..
Suraj: My best birthday present ever thank you he wept hugging Toral..
Toral: Come on and cut the cake..
Suraj cut the cake and took blessing from his elders and he opened his mouth and Toral and Hiten feed him and he fed Baa and Babuji and all the others.. Santu who was standing behind, felt her hand being pulled forward and saw Suraj offering her cake..
She wished him happy birthday and gave him the cake but didn't eat it herself…
Everyone was talking when they heard a clinging of the glass..
Hiten: Your attention ladies and gentleman..Today is the birthday of my brother Suraj Dharamraj Mayavanshi..
Everyone clapped..
Hiten: However my wife has prepared a special something and would like all the Mayavanshi family to join in.. Here in my hand I have a small trinket with chits and on each chit she has written a few words.. Each member has to pick one and sing a song to match..
Its simple as that.. So first Babuji..
Babuji drew out a chit reading: Jawan and love
Babuji got up and looked at Baa..

Baa blushed and everyone clapped.. Everyone took their turn and finally DM put his hand in the trinket..

He smiled to himself and though perfect..
DM: Tu cheez bari hai mast mast, tu cheez bari hai mast..
Everyone clapped and shocked wolf whistled seeing this new side to DM.. He continued and looked at Santu who was totally red blushing.. Amazed at how well DM could sing.

Everyone clapped and laughed at how well DM had preformed..
Suraj and Maulik drew out the next chit together and got: Brothers and Mother..

Santu walked away.. Her eyes filling up about how much her son's respected her..
Suraj to Toral: Mamta ke mandir ki hai tu sab se pyaari murat…Bhagwaan nazar aata hai jab dekhe teri surat..
Toral smiled proudly and wiped the tears away placing a small kiss on his forehead..
SurLik to Santu: Jab jab duniya mein aaye…Tera hi aanchal paaye…
Santu didn't look at them as she knew she had to stay strong..
