hey shalu i remember watching that pride n prejudice with colin firth
he was amazing and dreamy 😍i haven't watched North and South thoughbut i did like the modern adaptation of shakespeare's work BBC did a few years ago. The guy in that Taming of the shrew Rufus Sewell was awesome😍
Yes chalia, I love period dramas too and BBC does such a good job of adapting them, and prefer mini-series to the movie adaptations because in a movie so much is left out due to time constraints. I hadn't even heard of N&S before, was just browsing in the local library, came across the DVD and liked the description and on a whim borrowed it and normally I would just return DVDs that I hadn't heard about without watching but in this case had some time to kill one night before sleeping so I thought I'd put it on and see if it was worth watching and then I couldn't stop....I felt like I had discovered a hidden treasure😆. I think the last time I had enjoyed a period drama so much was when I watched P&P the first time. I especially liked the way the setting was different from the other period dramas in that the guy was a self-made industrialist rather than the landed gentry that we mostly see in period dramas and in that way his struggles were kinda different from the other dramas that I have seen. And the accents!....didn't realize there was such a difference between the north and the south.Shalu, i have watched north and south. Richard Armitage ---- sigh! what can i say? drool x 1000! But i loved Colin Firth's Darcy too!
I watched it twice already more because i love watching period drama and the old "English" accents always interest me. More so the setting is during the industrial revolution and the problems it brought with it (health and labour) are so interesting to watch.Great also to know that we share the same likes and dislikes in shows!😆
Chalia and Shalu.. are you chatting or discussing😕
If you can get hold of the DVD, then watch it, I think you'll like it.....the actor is dreamy and it is a very good love story set in the backdrop of England's industrial revolution. I like most of BBC work, think they do a very good job, especially with period dramas I don't think they have an equal. I like Rufus Sewell although most of the time he is the bad guy :( ......I saw the older Taming of the Shrew with Liz Taylor and Richard Burton but haven't seen the newer one, will have to try to get hold of the DVD.
its totally become a confused showBTW.. whats wrong with Santu.. why she is saying meri Birwa kaise badal gayi??? OMG Dufford Santu you only forced her to keep the greatest secret if her life and move forward.. she is being hard outside so that her soft inner side doesnot come out and she doesnt break her promise to her mom otherwise she will see her mom's mara hua chehra.. Feeling so sad ofr birwa. Am sure she is forcefully being so hard😭
