Does Khemi ever ponder why Maulik and Motiben are so goody good with her all of a sudden and so rude with her sister?They are both sisters so both are, in Motiben's words, "Chhoti jaati".If by marrying Arjan, who was supposedly Motiben's nephew and Maulik's cousin,she got all that love and respect,why didn't her younger sister who is married to Motiben's closer relative(brother), get any respect or recognition?What's there so special about her that her sister lacks?Why can't Khemi get such an obvious thing?By the way, in India do the widows return to their parents house or they continue to live with their in-laws after the burial and the rituals get over?
