I know that the whole forum is weeping for the unfair punishment DM has meated to Santu. Yes, the punishment is indeed unfair. She is being punished for a secret which was basically not hers to tell and after she has actually told him the secret herself (even if it was after some cheap blackmailing by her husband). I don't understand why Mr.Justice has not yet brought down Shubhi's portrait and stamped on it, considering what she had done to him for years was far more. But then Mr.Justice would not dream of harming even a portrait of a dead wife but will sadistically deprive a living wife of her rightful place as his wife.
But yesterday, I felt more sorry for Kanji than I did for Santu.
What was the poor man's crime? To have fallen in love with the arrogant elder sister of Mr.Justice, marrying her and getting her pregnant with his child? Although Mr.Justice had not deemed what he had done was wrong or prnounced any punishment to him, look at what he has done to him.
First he tells him that his child is not dead but alive. Before the man can celebrate the fact that his 'santaan' is alive and kicking, Mr.Justice has snatched the candy from his hand. He has deprived him that son by keeping him back at his own house and instead sending his shrewish sister (who is also the hapless man's wife) back to him.
The man was leading a relatively peaceful life, reconciling himself to the fact that his son is no more. Now that he has knowledge that his son in alive, should he not get him back? After all he is his only son while Mr.Justice already has four others. Is it not a bigger punishment to be aware of your child but not be able to live with him? Is it not a bigger punishment to be saddled with a wife he can do well without?
Looks like Mr.Justice's need to punish Moti and Maulik outweighs his compassion and empathy for this poor man who has had the misfortune of engangling his life with the likes of Moti and her arrogant family.
