Without fear or favour I say folks let us not lose sight of the title of this serial--It is Bandini--Enough has been shown to substantiate the fact that Santu has been treated as a Bandini---This phenomenon exists even today in the collective Indian pshyche and there are thousands of underprevilaged women who are meted out such treatment even today.The metamorphosis which is brought about in the hearts of the Mahiyavanshi family bec of Santu proves to these diehard people and others like them that humanity and nobility of heart are not prerogatives of only the so called higher class. Even the humblest are capable of such strength of character. Now when Subhi appears on the scene things will change for Santu in a big way. She has been released from her Bandhan and now stands on life's threshhold with equality .What happens to her is a matter of her destiny and how she views life now that she is considered one of them. Santu will raelly enter the adult world in more ways than one.If you ask me this serial has many facets. It is not a Mills and Boone story of the romance and awakening of passion in a young inexperienced girl thrown into a relationship with an older man. Its just not one of those mushy romances. It revolves round relationships which are in flux and not framed in tableaus . Life moves on every second ansd so do we. Sometimes forward sometimes backwords sometimes in regression and sometimes things stand still too but never for long or rather when the going is good not long enough and when the going is bad the clock seems to stop.
