To be frank,I dont expect anything different tomorrow either, they are building this "MB and her mystery" story further to culmination. So,the whole week,we will be blessed with MB and Santu in her Guru Mata mode.

Yes, RP, we have no way out. It will be Taru and Santu this whole week. If they put in little Kanji, I will be happy. I don't think there will be any SanRaj scenes.
DM needs to stop talking about Subhi, she has been dead for 7 years, Man! Give it up, concentrate on the current wife.

Last week I posted that to make DM move past Subhadra she has to be brought down a notch from the pedestal he worships her on. Many of you do not want that to happen. But I do not see him giving Santu the time of the day any other way. In today's episode too the first thing he remembered when he saw Kaddu-Shanky doing nok-jhok was Subhi. He has not moved past Subhi and her memories.

Subhadra was equal to him in every way - maybe more as she was conversant in English and used to write/recite poetry. Santu has some huge shoes to fill but does not have the necessary materials. Since Santu cannot be raised up to Subhi's level, Subhadra has to be brought down a notch.

Personally I am not liking everyone either planning and plotting, being angry or dropping hints to DM. He is now getting irritated by it all. Forcibly throwing Santu is his face will not work for DM and it is not working for me either. If he has to accept Santu it should be because he wants to for what she is as a person and not because he has to. Meghna playing cupid the first time around was fun and circumstances were different.

And secondly as Manel has mentioned in her post, he needs to look at Santu as a woman. Till he stops calling her chokri that is not going to happen as chokri literally means a girl. Yesterday when she burnt her head his dialogues - bhaija maa akkal nathi ke? ja champakali ko bol davai laga de - chall ja ja ave - showed irritation and not any kind of soft spot.

Just my 2 cents.......

Hema, you're right!! Santo is nothing like Subhi....she is not equal to her when education, caste, class, wealth is concerned, infact Subhi might even have been superior to DM in all these but she still fell in love with DM, right....despite the differences, so why can't DM fall in love with Santo for who she is despite their differences. Santo might not be Subhi's equal in a lot of things but she has her own qualities and strengths and might even be superior to Subhi in some ways. I wonder how Subhi would have reacted in Santo's circumstances, not as gracefully I bet. I want DM to appreaciate Santu for who she is, for her qualities and strengths and not because someone else is brought down a notch. I want him to love Santo despite all their differences, despite Subhi and his feelings for her, despite Moti's resentment, despite his own hang-ups.....I don't see how else could their love story be satisfying. I mean if he falls in love with her just because he gets disillusioned by Subhi, not much of a love story then, is it? That will almost be like falling in love on a rebound and those mostly end badly.

There have been a few occasions that DM has looked at Santu as a woman and that has made him uncomfortable.....once he gets over his hang-ups about his feelings of being unfaithful to Subhi's memories and makes his piece with it, he will accept his feelings for what they are. And anyways, I don't think he has ever seen or sees Santu as a girl, even when he calls her chokri.

And as for yesterday, I think he reacted pretty normally....I mean I have been called an idiot when I have done silly things and hurt myself and the people who called me an idiot weren't smiling or sweet about it, they were concerned and irritated that I could have been so stupid to hurt myself. He could have let Santu put the mud on her hand herself or take Champu's help, but he tended to her wounds himself...surely that shows he has a soft spot for her.....I mean I don't think he would have done the same if Champu had burnt her fingers.

You are absolutely right that Santo is not equal to Subhadra in class ,caste or education .But I personally feel Subhadra failed as a mother.Infact Santo turned Subhadras spoilt brats into a new leaf after she came into thier lives.Santo has certain unique qualities which DM will surely notice gradually .

You have said the same thing I am trying to say - but in a different way - that Subhadra has to be shown as not being the perfect Goddess that DM worships. Right now he seems very content in living with her memories and seeing her children flourish. He has no desire to move on from the way things stand currently. In fact he believes he is doing Santu a huge favor by setting her free.
Whatever Santu had done for his children does not seem to have any effect. He apppears to be pretty indifferent to Santu. Something has to happen which breaks his idolization of Subhadra for him to move on.
