I have always said that this relationship is weird..It does not matter that Santo is not Hiten's biological mother, or even if Santo is not Khemi's sister. The relationship by marriage is just the same. How will it be if tomorrow Santo and DM have a daughter tomorrow and Maulik marries her?? That's not acceptable is it?
Again, I mentioned earlier too that no one seems to have mentioned this. I would have expected Motiben to have made a big deal of this....

Now, just because that DM-Santo should not have happened cannot be the reason for Hit-me match to be ok now. That is a done already.

On a side note, for me, my objection to thesetwo is more based on these characters selifsh behavioiur and them wallowing in their own desires soo much that they cannot see the pain and humilation that they might be putting their loved ones through.
Forget about all the other loved ones, the most I can't forgive them for putting through all the pain and humiliation is the nanaji. He brought Hiten to his house, trated him with respect and love and tought him stuff and trusted him with his work and family and in turn Hiten said no to his face and backstabbed him.
Did not even have the guts to ask nanaji's permission to court/ask for Khemi's hand before all this ruckus.
And Khemi gave all the speeches to Santo asking her to marry against her wishes for nanaji;s happiness and sent her back when she came from her hubby's place but convieniently forgets nanajis'a pain and humiliation and runs off on the day of her wedding.
Disgusting!!

I totally and whole-heartedly agree !!!

just read all the posts excellent discussions
good point about them being selfish and inconsiderate
which is another thing that gets me okie fine forget about a relationship btw hiten n khemi thru marriage but khemi did not once think what would happen to her sister n how it would affect her marriage life its bad now it would get worse (moti ben) and her nana doesn't deserve this kind of disrespect

I spoke too soon. The creatives have not ruined Hiten's character although they treatened to. He stood up against his father but was not a coward. He stood for the village's honour and for its maalik's honour by not marrying Khemi in the sly in connivance with AC, but at the same time made it clear he was his own maalik and no one can seperate him from the woman whom he has accepted as his wife in his heart. I am totally proud of Hiten.
As to selfishness, no one including the great DM can say he is par selfishness.

Huge sigh of relief, so glad they haven't ruined his character. I still mourn the absolute shredding Ayesha's character took. 😆

Yes, Pam with that they shredded the whole show by making it all about Michi union and break up. Atleast this show is not focusing on just one couple and is exploring various forms of love and relationships and raising some basic questions.

Hopefully this will put an end to any accusations of being coward and selfish. The easy way would have been to go along with Avinash's scheme. But they came back and decided to fight. Not that I even blame them for running in the first place. Khemi was being guarded, DM had men looking out for Hiten and no one was listening. If they didn't run, Khemi & Sambu would have been forced into an unwanted marriage. What DM & Santo should have done if they are the supposed wise heads of the village was call of Shambu-Khemi's wedding and then tried to reason with Hiten & her. But with the insistence that Khemi & Shambu get married that very day, they pushed every one into a desperate situation. First of all what gives anyone the right to force two people into a marriage they don't want? Everyone's goes on about society and family but what about society and family respecting an individual's rights???
