NDTV Imagine : 133 GRPs

Colors (300 GRPs) pulled away with a 47 GRP lead over Zee TV (253 GRPs) in week 27, according to TAM data. STAR Plus was in third place with 239 GRPs.

All GECs gained viewers this week, the most notable being the performance of NDTV Imagine which garnered 133 GRPs. Sony's improved showing took the channel to 108 GRPs.

Other performances for the week included SAB TV at 67 GRPs, STAR One at 59 GRPs, Sahara One at 29 GRPs, STAR Utsav at 27 GRPs and 9X at 20 GRPs.

Real continues to struggle, managing just 11 GRPs for the week under review.

Week 27 has been a good week for Hindi general entertainment channels. TAM Media Research data for the week that was released on July 8, 2009 shows that in the Hindi speaking markets for the C&S 4+, the top order has seen a shuffle again.

In the 'Big Boys' League', Colors is back in its lead position with 47 rating points separating it from Zee TV, which has held on strongly to the No. 2 position. From 242-plus GRPs last week, Colors is at 300 GRPs this week. Zee TV has grown from its 243 GRPs last week to 253 GRPs this week. STAR Plus, too, has grown in the week – from the 218 last week, it is at 239 GRPs this week.

NDTV Imagine's latest big ticket property, 'Rakhi ka Swayamvar', has allowed the channel to further strengthen its No.4 position in this week. The show has opened with a TRP of 4 plus, and the weekly average of the show is 2.6 TRPs. From the 108 GRPs last week, Imagine is at 133 GRPs this week.

Multi Screen Media channels have taken the No. 5 and No. 6 slots this week too. Sony Entertainment Television has grown from the 91 GRPs of last week to 108 GRPs this week. SAB has grown from last week's 61 GRPs to 67 GRPs this week.

STAR One, too, has grown by 7 rating points and is at 59 GRPs this week. Sahara One is at 29 GRPs, STAR Utsav is at 27 GRPs, 9X is at 20 GRPs, while Real is at 11 GRPs.
