So he was commuting daily? Did he not like the Mahivanshis or did he feel awkward staying at his parent's friend's place? Were Meghna and Rasik not aware of where their son was going? I bet thye would have insisted he stay with the Mahiyavanshis had they known. Well, lets see what explanation they come up with. I wonder whether this track (of making Shashank play Duggu) was thought of in the beginning itself or has been included later on seeing the enthusiam to see a jealous DM track.
I think that Santo will try to stop Kaddu-Shanks wedding once she comes to know that Kaddu does not want to marry Shanks. This may enrage DM. His anger and jealousy may further be fuelled if he comes to know that Shanks had the hots for his wife. He could presume that she was stopping the wedding because she wants Shanks herself since he still does not know about his dear daughter's feelings for his arch rival's son. This can create quite a lot of turmoil in Santo's life.
Personally I want DM at some point (maybe after coming to know Kaddu's real love) to offer to step aside and give Santo her freedom (even if it hurts him) so that she can marry Shanks who is more suitable for her in terms of age. At this point Santo can tell him that the age factor really does not matter as she cares for him much more. From then on they can show a gradual understanding built between the two of them. I I somehow cannot digest it if DM acts on his possessiveness streak. All said and done he is nearly three times older than her. It would come out pretty vile if he does. Any initiation into a more meaningful relationship should come from Santo's side so that it does not look gross. I would like to see a mature relationship between DM and Santo rather than the usual raw romance they show amongst younger couple. That is my POV.
