2nd April – Behind closed doors...
Today's episode was a bittersweet one.. Bittersweet because, Santu was treated with some sort of respect but it was all for show.. It just goes to show the lengths to which people will go to hide bitter reality.. Santu comes down the stairs, her payal making the chan chan noise.. The mahiyavanshi's looked like it was Manjulika coming down and not Santu...She comes down and Suraj runs upto her telling her that he won this time around.. Santu kneels down to his level and tells him that its good that he won, but he shouldn't do that anymore, he can get hurt very badly.. DM's expressions show that he's begrudgingly appreciating what she's doing.. Suraj goes off and Meghna asks what happened to Suraj, DM brushes it off as a small accident.. And Santu stands like a doll being inspected by everyone.. Meghna offers chaas to Santu which she refuses saying that she's fasting for chaitra maas ki navratri.. Baa is fulltoo impressed, or atleast pretending to be and she says that good someone is continuing subhadra's traditions... DM doesn't say a word throughout this, but his expressions say a whole lot..
Champakali and Shabho seem to have hit the nail on the head, when they say that the entire family treat Santu with some sort of respect only when guests are around, and when they leave, things are back to normal.. Champakali reads our mind when she says, that these people should stay forever, thanks to them malkin gets to stay in the house..
Meghna asks about the kids, and asks DM(she calls him that btw, isn't that chweet..) if Hiten is still the same angry young man?? DM just smiles for that and they pan over to Hiten who's slogging like a dog under Mongi's watchful eye... She allows him a small break and he tries to shave, but thanks to mongi's comments, he quits that as well.. Mongi tells him that he has to make a 100 earthen cups by morning so that they can sell them... And teaches him how to.. Looking at her making the cups, Hiten kinda melts.. I mean becomes a little softer, but when she says she's going to rest and asks him to make a 100 by morning, is furious and back to his arrogant self...
Night time at Dharampur when Taru hitler passes Santu lost sitting on the stairs.. She snubs her and asks her to go sleep, warning her that she better be back all dolled up before everyone else wakes up.. As santu is walking out, Meghna calls out and stops her.. she asks her is she's eaten and Santu shakes her head answering NO.. Meghna angel asks Taru to make Khichdi for Santu adding extra ghee.. Taru looks like she'd rather add extra poison instead, and goes mumbling into the kitchen to make some... Meanwhile Meghna drags santu to the sofa and asks her how married life is treating her.. She paints a wonderful picture of DM the husband and asks santu if she's ever heard him sing??? Santu is too preoccupied wondering is this kichdi is going to be her last meal to pay proper attention.. but when Meghna says sing?? Her expression is like, Malik??? And sing???? Taru comes there with two plates of khichdi and gives it to them.. Meghna thoroughly enjoys it, while Santu takes a tiny bite... Meghna asks taru if DM is awake? And that she wants to talk to him, Taru says yes he is go right ahead.. Meghna asks Santu to come along with her.. Taru's eyes pop out.. Meghna says, she wants to meet him, and anyways Santu has to sleep sometime soon na?? Seeing Santu's petrified expressions, she asks ki if she has any work left.. Taru the devil says no.. indeed and literally snatches the plate away from her.. They leave and taru's expressions say ki this girl will finally get it now.. And i cant wait for tomo to see how taru's going to eat yet another piece of humble pie...In this scene, meghna looked very very young.. Very much like a newlywed.. I wonder who her son will be though?? Something tells me its sooo going to be our dear old friend Shanky...
Anyways, Meghna and santu are going up the stairs, more like Meghna dragging Santu up the stairs and santu wishing for the earth to open up and swallow her... They reach DM's room, and Meghna knocks, DM asks who? Meghna knocks once more, DM asks who? Santu says main.. DM says main kaun... Meghna runs away from there, leaving santu all alone opening the door to the room.. Santu stands wide eyed at the entrance and DM is SHOCKED...
LOL, loved the last scene.. It was sooo sweet, Meghna is our own resident cupid.. and she made taru cook... Oh how the mighty fall.. Tomorrows episode is sure going to be power packed...
