You are right Sumu ..

Seems like there is some anti-EK thing going on .. she should be given credit where she deserves - especially for her VERY good work with Bandini ..

@ Soapie -

BV is plain disgusting .. just by putting a disclaimer/message at the end of every episode by showing the exact opposite of it in the episode does not mean that the message is being put across!

Too badd.. The journo didnt relise that his piece of writing to drag down Bandini is EVEN WORSE than Ekta copying/repeating a story.....👎🏼

Can you believe it? How can a woman ever respect or even develop any sort of positive feeling for a husband who forces himself on her and gets her pregnant against her will?😡
And they hail the show as being progressive and socially relevant!

Then the difference between the other so called "regressive/repetetive' shows and this apparently progressive one is that instead of men and women portraying the characters, it has little kids doing the needful..
Dont get me wrong, but i still cant get how these people can have a show which is mainly about child marriage and other stuff, but instead of discouraging it, it actually promotes it... Atleast with the other K shows you knew that things wouldn't get so bad...

Sorry to jump in randomly, but how exactly is BV 'promoting' child marriage??😕😕.....From what I've watched of the show, there is nothing even remotely in the show that glorifies child marriage....it is just showing an aspect of society that still very much exists...and it shows the ramifications of this custom on an innocent child's life. By showing a custom that is still prevalent in parts of our country, they are bringing about awareness of this issue. There was even an article a while back about how some child marriages in that region were actually stopped after this.

I'm not saying that Bandini is like BV or vice versa but I don't think it is fair to say that BV is 'glorifying' child marriage.

But in that soap, the Balika Badhu, Anandi, she is pretty happy with Jagdisha...and her MIL also supports her...FIL too...Except Dadisaa, everyone supports her....
And this Gehna, now they are showing love growing btwn her n her hubby....which actually implies that, even if u marry in ur teens, later u n ur hubby can get a good life cum adjustments cum understanding....

The theme of BV seems to be gone....now it's showing, every Balika Vadhu is happy there...with their spouses and all...even that girl, who's SIL of Anandi...Jagdisa's sis....she's also happy with her would be hubby...Pratap I guess....

So from which angle they are showing that Child Marriage is bad n all !?!?!?

I also feel that they are ACTUALLY supporting it

Just because they show her laughing and playing as a child and her in-laws happen to be nice, that's considered to be 'glorifying' child marriage?😕.....What about when it is shown that little Anandi wants to study, but she is not allowed to....what about when it is shown that she is constantly missing her friends and parents?

And Anandis's SIL i.e. Sugna is only happy cuz she is unaware.....the ramifications of her early marriage are shown through her parents worrying about her and an early pregnancy....Does that not show that they are trying to develop awareness about this?

Most importantly, there is a message at the end of every epi which clearly condemns the custom and states clearly that it is snatching away an innocent child's childhood. I don't know how much more clearer it can be made that BV is NOT 'promoting' child marriage😕

We are not saying that BV 'promotes' child marriage, but it's definitely going off-track .. from what it started off as and what it has become now ..

When on one side, they can show some liberal parents like Jagdisha's father, why cant they show the government official actually able to stop and nullify the marraige through her later efforts?

I don't think it's going off-track personally. It has a very real way of portraying human emotions.

They aren't showing government officials stepping in yet cuz this still happens out there....obviously at some point in the story, they will show some kind of stricter action being taken.

It is a soap at the end of the day, they can't end the story overnight....it is the story of Anandi's journey and gives us a glimpse into that world through her eyes....what is refreshing is the treatment of the soap and the fantastic acting by all the actors in it.
