16th March- The Dharampur investigators...
Well, maybe I said it too soon, Mindblowing mondays..hmmm... Maybe next monday onwards it'll truly be mindblowing... A rather lack lustre episode, concentrating more on the death of manjari than anything else.. Today was Nanaji's day, i think in the entire episode, only the 2 minutes where Santu went running to DM to ask him permission, dint have nanaji... I'm gonna keep my comments to a minimum, coz there was hardly anything that was truly interesting story wise or character wise... So, the episode starts off with nanaji returning to the village to tell everyone that manjari is no more.. We have the usual reactions, parashuram kaka swearing revenge, repeating DM's words, phool ke badle phool lathi ke badle lathi.. and that they will get justice... nanaji cant bear to see mongi and the calf so sad.. Over at the storeroom, Santu wakes up from a bad dream, yelling mawdi as she gets up.. She lights the kerosene lamp and prays that her family is safe... Next morning, while santu is lighting the diya for tulsi maa, nanaji comes and breaks the news to her.. She's shattered and nanaji asks her to come to the gayatri puja if possible and leaves... Santu remembers her time with manjari and rushes inside, she informs DM about the death, and he asks her to go to her house... Ok, my comments here.. Loved this scene for two reasons, a DM Santu are acting truly in sync with each other.. Santu has no qualms now, in taking anything up with him.. And he, is slightly more tolerating toward her... DM is worried because, a) cow murder is unpardonable, and b) madhav solanki and his dohitri's considered this cow as their mother...
Rushing through this part, Santu goes to the village and everyone is grieving over manjari.. Parashuram kaka and the rest along with nanaji go back to the scene of the murder to hunt for clues.. Nanaji finds a bracelet and his lightbulb glows, it was the same bracelet he'd made especially for malik's two sons.. He immediately hides it... And parashuram kaka and the rest head back, fruitless...
Now at the factory, DM is a little irritated that there are no workers.. Pinakin tells him, that this matter is more serious, as she was murdered.. DM is all worried now, and heads to the village.. At the village all the men folk are gathered.. DM comes there and folds his hands in front of nanaji and conveys his regret at the murder... The villagers demand justice.. DM promises them that, swearing that if the culprit is found, he will be hung to death... And walks off.. A must watch scene for the malik.. He is all powerful, all commanding in this scene.. And his walk.. uff.. it just exudes his power...
ends with nanaji worrying that DM has promised justice, but his own son is the culprit..
Ok, watchable once... for the walk and the DM-Santu scene.. Though short, it was very very sweet.. DM playing the worried husband, seeing santu all in tears was perfect... And then the last bit, where DM was all Dharampur ka malik.. he's just brilliant in such scenes...
P.S- Sorry for the lukewarm analysis.. my comp is seriously acting up, wanted to post this before it shuts down again...
