But didn't Nithila in the office repeat Shantha's words to Selva (regarding their conversation in the house that morning) about the tender quote issue. Didn't she say something like "did you give a quote as yet?" and he goes "yes we did it this morning." He gives her the file and there....she got what she was looking for in his office.

I'm wondering if it was Nithila II, how does she show up correctly at the right time, at the right spot to see that file? I thought it was Nithila II eavesdropping between the Shantha/ Selva conversation at home earlier that morning. Or else how would she know about the tender quote issue?
Was it really detective work?

I am thoroughly confused.
But this discussion is quite interesting as well.

Spain, I don't think any eavesdropping at all in the morning.
This Nithilai 2 has done some research and come to know about Selva little bit and came to his office to tempt him to reveal the quote and he fell for the trap.

Nithila 1 gave her normal reaction in the morning like she gives whenever Selva tries to come close to her.

We can confirm this when the quote of Nithila 2 wins the bid tomorrow.

For one year difference, the resemblance will still be very high and so the younger nithila is being shown in more modern dresses to show the more younger one.

May be initially they wanted to show how marriage changes the dress pattern--does not appear logical really but now it will be useful to differentiate the 2 nithilas!

I agree with dasa sir now.
It looks like Nithila II was at the office and Nithila I was at home in today's episode.
But I did find Nithila I's behaviour strange at home today....
where did all the shouting/ yelling/ screaming/ crying/ throwing things go?
I think I over-analyzed her behaviour, because in today's episode Nithila was awfully quiet at home. In the morning, she didn't open her mouth. In the night, she is found to be in deep sleep on bed.
I thought the usual routine of Nithila would be to get up in the morning, rip apart the mallipoo, throw away the halwa box and scream at Selva.
Instead, she disappeared in the morning before Selva could catch her.
I found it strange.
(But then, I do remember in the new opening song sequences, they show Nithila in sari being pushed by Aadhi out of the house....so like dasa said, Nithila II was at office today, while Nithila I must have been at home).

Okay, about this split personality theory...it sounds good and interesting.
But the only people who know if its true or not would be the Bandham team (including Deepak and Preethi) and of course, Atina.

I remember a few weeks back when I wrote down my guessing-list for the new character, I gave a combination of dual roles:
* mother Thamira meets daughter Thamira
* elder sister Thamira meets younger sister Thamira
* big sister Nithila meets little sister Nithila
Right after I posted this message, deepak immediately replied by saying one of my guesses is "correct."
So is it really split personality here?

Plus when bluegal and I were initially brainstorming ideas for who the new character could be, Atina wrote "bluegal, put one of your options and put one of Spain's options together...change it around a bit....and you will get the right answer."

Bluegal's assumption was that Thamira gave birth to a daughter in jail....and I assumed that "an exact look-alike of Nithila's dead dad would show up."
So if I took Atina's clue there, I concluded that Thamira must have a second daugther and is an exact look-alike of Nithila.....(here, the part I omitted was about the "dead dad" bit).
This guess has turned out to be correct...or at least, a part of it is correct.

Like dasa sir said, we have to wait for the upcoming episodes to find out more about this new character.

About that new opening song clipping, where the Nithila in sari is being pushed out of the house by an angry Aadhi....
I think dasa sir's explanation fits in with this scene.
If Aadhi does not win the bid on the tender quote issue, and Selva says Nithila came and saw that file at the office, Nithila 1 would get framed for something that Nithila 2 did and would be falsely accused. Hence, that scene is shown of Nithila 1 being thrown out of the house by an angry Aadhi.
I think that is how that particular scene fits into the story....don't know.....
