Thanks Netra for the update. Malur brings some beautiful memories to me. It is a small town (?) on the Bangalore - Mysore road, and there is a beautiful temple devoted to Aprameya swami here. It is a very old temple, and Purandaradasa is supposed to have composed the song "Jagadhodharana" here in the mani mandapam. The main deity is Lord Krishna in a toddler pose (as thavazhugira Krishna) and people come and kattufy small thottils on a tree here, if they want to have children. The locale is extremely scenic, and somewhere here there was a house where we stopped because the river Kavery flows behind that house, and we went and dipped our hands and feet in the river there. This was in the year 1976 (my God, has it been that long?), and it was a very scenic spot, I remember. Now don't start laughing, I know many of you were not even born then!
