Hello everyone,

One year has passed since that sad day and we miss Shiv a lot. 😔 Most of us emotionally got attached to him even though he's only a character. Hats off to the man who sketched this unique character!! Watching Shivraj Shekhar was a pleasant experience. His interaction & dealing with other characters was really good in almost every scene.

All scenes right from his entry till the end are worth watching again. They never bore viewers.

I miss Shiv a lot! The only reason i visit this forum is my attachment for Shiv and anything related to him including his kids! I really feel sorry for them! I can imagine what a life they would have led with their father! Nandini would have known her identity, Shivam would not have been lied at every step of his life and Amol would have probably been still with them! Most importantly they all wouldn't have to stay at the house of their mother's ex-husband!
I miss a logical and gutsy personality like Shiv in BV! He was kind and compassionate but not fool like Anandi!
He also happened to be one of those characters that had shone brightly while being in BV and got a honorable and deserving goodbye! ⭐️

And only character without child marriage (among leads) and multiple affair or relationship before or after marriage. His only mistake was marrying Anandi however which ruined him and his family.

I miss him too. Every time I see Anandi taking a stupid decision and becoming a cause of someone's misery, I wished Shiv was there. He would have controlled it all.
A very well sketched male charcater of BV and probably in TV industry as a whole.

His absence is felt a lot. When other characters exited, I got used to their absence eventually, but I miss Shiv more, mainly due to Anandi's blunders.

Shiv was an endearing character but not without his share of faults. It appeared during Rasika episode.

No other wife would have accepted Sanchi and DB with open arms as additional baggage except Anandi.

We should not lose balance while estimating a character.

The thing is Shiv's charisma and his smile enchanted us.

The problem with us is we go overboard while assessing a character. We praise someone too much and we diss some one too much.

Too much of anything is bad.
The same goes with Anandi... too much of 'Anandi's tears' are not fun either.

Characters like Bhairon, Gehna, Shyam, Shiv, Jagya and Gauri have left lasting impressions on me, because of the uniqueness in their characteristics and relativity of their day-to-day issues. But more than that, the fact their presence on the show was short-lived and ended positively, leaves a crisp taste and fond memories for me as a viewer.

Of course, these characters had their own share of flaws, but their flaws didn't outnumber their positive contributions.

Even J and DSa who were the most grey-shaded characters and who continue to be in the show, have also had a forward growing graph as far as their characterisation is concerned.

Anandi is the only one with a backward going graph, and never ending tears. Her goodness equating to dumbness is the reason behind her sorrows, and that's why too much of 'Anandi's tears' is bad.

------

All I can say, makers have given excellent characters like DS, Shiv, Bhairon, Jagya, Gehna, Shyam, Gauri. Lovely characters like Bhago, Ira, Sumitra and Meenu; and I thank them for that.

Minus, Mrs. ShivRaj Shekhar, every character has been worth it, including Anandi Singh.

Loved you Shiv

I dont agree that Gauri was a lovely character. She had tremendous psycho problems created by herself most of the time though she tried to blame Anandi and Jagya more.

Gehna. She resisted, she came back to her rapist, made necessary adjustments and lost what she was once. Fortunately her character ended but she turned into another typical bahu.
