@AnshuMangala cares for the child as she should. That was the reason she kept her, in order to quieten her maternal stirrings. And there is nothing wrong in her loving this child and not wanting to separate from her now after 11 years.But 11 years ago it was a different story. 11 years ago Kundan was 8, Kamli a few years older.Teesa had already been living under Akhiraj's roof as a widow for over 10 years. She had already been enacting her Devi act and keeping him at bay. She had already exposed him to his parents as the murderer of her husband in the guise of Devi. By now she knew how petrified he was of Devi. That was the reason she was certain she could save the child who had brought out her maternal instinct in her.She did not have the courage to question Akhiraj directly. Quite possible. No issues. What about under Devi act?Or for that matter did she even for a moment question herself about the whereabouts of the baby's mother/parents? Did she spare a thought for them is the question. Nothing was stopping her from talking to herself.Arti, Here we are talking about the 'talk ' Mangla should have with her . For assuming that she has sometimes wondered about Nandini's parents or thought about the pain of her mother, we have to watch those scenes but when it comes to Anandi and about her pain , about her on going search for her daughter we assume that she is still doing that without watching any scene where she is thinking of any new strategy to search her or where she is updating with police or even missing her in the darkness of night.Why this disparity?Mangala is not responsible for returning that child. But she had no right to keep her either at that time. If a family member brings home something that he/she clearly could not have acquired rightfully, other members have two choices in front of them. They tell the erring member to return it. Or they feel happy at the new acquisition and also become party to that act.We understand Mangala to be the voice of reason in that house. Her words may not be accepted, but that does not stop her now and then from telling Harki and Akheraj that they are doing wrong. Which means she does know the difference between right and wrong.Did she even once tell even herself that Akhiraj is wrong and he should return the child. That there must be a mother somewhere pining for her baby. Irrespective of who the mother is.Has this thought ever occurred to her all these years? Or is she just petrified of losing this unexpected gift that her DevarSa brought with him that fateful day?
@ Bold , Here again there is a big possibility that she might have told herself that Akhiraj had done wrong if she is aware of the true facts of snatching. Till now have not seen Mangla advocating any of Akhiraj's wrong acts even in her mind.
But there is also a big possibility that she is not aware of whole truth of Nandini's snatching . Considering how she stopped Nandini accusing her mother for throwing her in dustbin , it looks she too was told this concocted story. If she was aware of real facts and wanted to strengthen her position in Nandini's eye by portraying her mother black why she would have wasted that golden opportunity?
If she too thinks that Nandini was dumped by her mother then what is the point for thinking about a pining mother? This notion must have got enforcement since no pining mother came to search for her daughter in these last 11v long years.
@ Red , She had no right to keep her that time but what else she could have done ? Saved that child from Akhiraj's sward and dumped her on road since she was wrongly brought at that house? Or left the child unattended?
I am sure her deversa had not gifted that child to her on silver platter. She might not have given the free right to attend that child , no one would have allowed to treat that child with any love and care, Mangla toh specially not. Whatever Mangla could have done, she must have done by hiding her efforts from Akhiraj and Harki .
I am thanking Mangla for her maternal instinct which led her to make efforts for the sake of that little child who had no one to take care of her in that cruel house.
Btw Mangla had Kamli ( who was neglected by her own parents) to satisfy her motherly instincts , she was not in dire need of Nandini but it was other way round.
