Shashank Vyas got a dream debut in Balika Vadhu. With his boy-next-door looks, it didn't take long for the audience to connect with Jagya, a character he has been playing with much finesse. Let's take you a step closer with some facts you did not know about him
Three years down the line, the actor says that he is still unaffected by his popularity and is grounded to his roots. Talking about his profession he says, "The best part as an actor is that you get to do what you love. The worst part is that you don't have time to enjoy life or have a personal life."
On asked how his journey from Shashank to Jagya was, the actor says, "My struggle boasts of 275 auditions in 18 months. After doing a one-day cameo in Rishta.com, I finally bagged Balika Vadhu and became an actor. This show is important to me, but those small assignments that helped me survive in the city initially, are dearer."
"I had an episode that took two days of continuous work and I worked for 12 hours day each. There were seven clones of me and it was a chroma shoot. It was very difficult and engrossing. The entire team had to work really hard and it turned out well at the end of the day.", Shashank on his most memorable scene till date.
When asked about marriage, he said, "I believe in marriage, I've seen my parents and I want it just like them. I see couples today - they meet, date and break up over a coffee, that's not love. Love or arranged - I have no preference as such, it all depends on destiny."
Wondering what he does with all that money? Shashank says, "I am not a spendthrift. I save my money. For me saving is earning. Since acting is an unpredictable profession, I like saving for a safer future. I don't buy things that I don't need."
