what about him ? And i dun think that anyone can prove Sanchi's suicide

attempt fake as no body knows it expect herself but there are 20 %

it's possible Jagya's lawyer can use to point to illustrate that the Shekars bend over backwards and try to make Sanchi's each and every wish come true, hence she might be a spoiled child.

If Shekhars say we were first unhappy but yielded for the rishta because we could see our daughter loved him very much, he had been good to us in the past by saving Sanchi from rape (defence would probs bring that up anyway) and we had good relations with his family so we trusted that he had reformed. I don't think a rational judge would read too much into that.

I think Jagya & Sanchi's phone records from the past 6-7 months need to be used as evidence too. I really hope they are.

If man can be accused for rape even if engagement is done then why not it should be applied to girl?

Unfortunately, such rules are not applied to a girl unless it happens at workplace and the boy is working under the girl. However, if it was abatement of suicide case against Sanchi (had Jagya tried suicide), this point would have been considered.
