Kools,
I'm fascinated at how Anandi's lectures to Jagya are explained away with justifications of the 'dilemma' she is in, caught as she is between two families. Her 'situation', her 'nature', and her 'sense of justice' is oh so understood and adopted as a plausible reason wh she met Jagya alone on the terrace and the 'rights' she has to lecture him.YET...Jagya was in a similar dilemma when he was POUNCED upon with Saanchi's rishta. He was literally hung to dry as the Bakra for Anandi's 'happiness' and now he is being persecuted for doing exactly what his family wanted. So easily it is forgotten that he was NOT in agreement but coerced. I like how It is ok for Anandi to FORCE him to agree to marry again because she was COERCED by DS/SINGHs but when the same sort of coercion happens to Jagya then it is Jagya's fault. Also, even though Shiv and Ira have asked him about his commitment and though he placated them, people have forgotten that this enquiry came too little, too late. Jagya is in no position to tell them the truth because he has received NO assurance that Anandi's happiness does NOT hinge on his decision. So for once even though he is thoroughly miserable, he is sticking to HIS FAMILY'S plan. It's all very well to say he had two opportunities to tell the truth, but at what cost. Can he afford to tarnish the reputation of his family again? But no, it's all Jagyas fault. Poor precious extraordinary Anandi never mentioned even in her terrace conversation so late at night that she was not initially happy with this alliance. She is still giving him the impression that she is all for this. Wah, what an extraordinary childhood chum she is.
