Ganga hiding Mannu and facing RAT, could back fire. This is not a full-poof plan either.

So I don't know what is right, but if I were G, I would probably do that and only for one reason. If something happens to a Singh family member, I would never free myself from the guilt that because of me, a Singh (s) lost their life.

This is individual thinking and it's not about right or wrong, but I would not feel right if I was secured at the cost of someone else's life.

After all I know one thing, RAT is Mannu's father, and this is my personal problem.

RAT is Manu's sperm donor. He has never been a "father" to him.
Much as I appreciate Ganga's dilemma, if she can think of getting out of the box and finding her way quietly to the landline n making a call - that wud be most sensible.

She cud also break a window glass and hang out a colorful chunni towards the outside so it seems strange and attracts attention. But facinf Ratan without Mannu - is not going to do the others any good. The best bet wud be to write a note and throw it towards the front of the house in a dupatta and something heavy, so Jagya on his way back n can it and read it and be warned b4 entering.

If she DOES have access to the front or a street view.

There are three words for promises in hindi and they have different meanings --
first, is 'shapath' : this type of promise is taken in a court on a bible or a holy book that one will tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This promise is between the witness in the box and God.
next is 'kasam' : this type of promise is sort of like a vow a person takes that they will definitely achieve something. Like maybe ganga made a kasam to herself that she will definitely get into a nursing college.
finally is 'saugandh' : saugandh is a very strong promise made to another person -- sort of like an oath. The spiritual connotations of this type of oath are very strong -- if broken the other person can die (this is a belief). When ganga was protesting, dadisa pushed her into the box and said "tane maari sau" - which means "you have to give me your oath" and the type of this oath is it is so serious that if it is broken, something will happen to the other person. It is also used for emotional blackmail. 😆 for instance a mother may give a saugandh to her son, that he has to marry a girl of her choice. the son may not otherwise be inclined, but as soon as his mother makes (forces) him to give saugandh, he will agree because he doesnt want to see his mom dead.
so ganga, being part of the highly superstitious religious belief system does indeed believe that dadisa will die if she breaks the oath to dadisa. Not because of practical issues of ratan et. al but because the breaking of the oath is considered inauspicious.

Very thoughtful suggestions. I agree, that could help a lot.

But the success of throwing a brick out of the window plan also depends on jagya coming home immediately and seeing the chunri with the note.
Otherwise, ratan's men are already combing the haveli over and over again. If they suddenly see one of the windows has a big hole through it, in one of their next room sweeps, they will know that ganga is in that room.

Kasam is Urdu and Shapath is Sanskrit/ Shudhdha Hindi, while DS speaks Rajasthani dialect. So for her it is only 'sau' , while someone living in say - UP would have said 'tumhe meri kasam' . And people know that this word is used mainly for emotional blackmail and it is not that the person will die if the kasam/sau is broken.

Sectoreight, puja - Nice , u both got so much knowledge on all sorts of promises in quite a few languages. I am ignorant of all these. Thank you.

Whatever it is i think Ganga is a big let down!

I expected her to fall in love...but she drowned in it 😆

Then i thought she'll put a brave face - But she started weeping till i got tired!

Now i thought she will step out of her kasam and show herself - but she doesn't!

And mods don't see my requests😔

Maybe ganga thought that if ratan singh burnt the haveli and murdered the singhs, then she would have no barriers in marrying her beloved dactarsaa 🤣🤣🤣

The whole hostage drama was so horrifying. And Ganga was a let down. I don't know what she could have done, but definitely not debating over whether to break 'kasam' or not.

Ds will die even otherwise, might as well break the kasam and save if you can. Felt sorry for J. He had to fight the goons immediately as RAT was at the verge of igniting fire. And poor fellow was hit with one more stroke on his head, just after a recovery.

Since A didn't get to speak to anyone and neither has J updated her, I hope she calls Sugna too.

Sumi could not tolerate further and I liked her debate with Ds.

Didn't like the voice over. The ethics it talked about are nice to hear and good to preach, but in such a horrifying situation, one needs to be tricky to find a narrow escape. Just talking about promises, and sacrifices in not enough.
